I had an amazing day at the Ministry of Handmade. Everything was lovely from thoughtful afternoon tea, relaxing ambiance and beautiful style. I felt so comfortable and it was the little details that made the difference. My friend and I had such a wonderful time making lino tiles. We will definitely be back again soon. I hope many other creative woman or men take a class and treat themselves to a great afternoon out.

Well, i have made 8 lampshades and 15 fancypants cushions- everyone loves them! I’m moving on to sew my own clothes again after a 30 year hiatus… thanks Julie for showing me the power of colour and classy clash! A great place to start your new addiction! Wait til you see the fabrics…

What a lovely experience doing workshops in such a beautiful calm location. I’ve made a few lampshades now and the basic cushion class was such a joy. Julie and Lauren are such great teachers. Can highly recommend!

Julie has created such an amazing and supportive space. I attended a beginners workshop, and having not sewed since Year 8 home economics class, to say I was nervous would be an understatement. However, being small classes it made for plenty of one on one support. I was absolutely stoked I was able to walk away with something I was proud I made. Also the cookies Maurice made for morning tea were to die for. Could not recommend this workshop enough and I am looking forward to moving onto other classes.

Bought my wife a lampshade workshop as a Christmas gift. She loved it so much she purchased some kits to make more. Julie made the experience a laugh packed learning experience while Maurice made it a belly stretching gluten free biscuit experience. I think I know what I’ll be getting my wife next Christmas.

Purchased a lampshade kit and attended an online masterclass before I embarked on my own project. Everything about the process was exceptional. The Zoom class was brilliantly run by Julie and combined with the detailed instructions made the project such an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to give another lampshade a go! Thanks Julie and Maurice.
