Dan is a wonderful teacher. He’s extremely patient and creates an environment which is fun yet focused. He has so many great insights and tips to get the most out of the piano.I’m an adult student having returned to piano after a 15 year break and I really think his teaching style is helping me to become a disciplined piano player with a very strong foundation.

Dan has only been teaching me piano for the last 6 months but I have learned so much from him over that time. His teaching method is clear, patient, and most importantly fun! He has given me so many different exercises that allows me to gain strength in my fingers, build on the basics but he also allows me to choose pieces that I personally love. It is a good mix of challenging pieces and hard work and I have thoroughly enjoyed every single class I have had so far.One of the best things about Dan is that he wants his students to be independent. He gives his students the material and the basic training so that should they move on, they can also go back and refer to the material to teach themselves.I would highly recommend Dan to anybody who would like to start taking up piano. :)

Dan is an incredible piano teacher and I'd imagine most of his reviews start the same way. I was nervous to start piano as a complete beginner (just like you who is probably reading this) - but as soon as i booked his free trail class I immediately knew Dan was the right fit. All piano teachers can follow an exam curriculum and give you stock standard classes if that's what your after. But the difference with Dan as your teacher, he gets to know you as much as you allow and provides his students above and beyond what they need. I am a singer and without even noticing Dan has crafted my lessons to not only be exam ready, but has given me piano exercises which help me improve my ear.I started my lessons in Sydney and then moved to Melbourne for work. I have just reached my 10th online lesson with Dan. Not only have I improved a ridiculous amount thanks to his guidance over video - but Dan's lessons have easily become the best part of my week. I have received the same attention as if I was there in person and would recommend online lessons for anyone thinking about it!The best part of learning piano with Dan as my teacher is my confidence. As an adult beginner I have this shyness that's very hard to overcome. Dan has completely brought me out of my shell and his piano allows me to focus all my nervous energy and exert bright and happy playing.I will be a student for a very long time.

My daughter has been having piano lessons with Dan for the past year.Dan is an excellent teacher. He is always knowledgeable, kind, enthusiastic and encouraging and has greatly helped my daughter to improve her playing technique and sight reading.He makes lessons enjoyable by providing a range of piano pieces tailored for the individual to help improve piano skills and to ensure the student never gets bored.Best of all, Dan always throws in a few life lessons with his words of wisdom and sense of humour. Learning should be fun and it is with Dan.

I have been learning piano with Dan for almost one year now. As a complete beginner, I never imagine that I can achieve this far in piano within a year! Learning piano with Dan is always a great pleasure and relieve for me from the heavy workload of university life. He actually understands the ability of each of his students and ensures that every lesson is educational but not too intense for them. We always have a lot of laughter in the lessons. He is completely passionate and enthusiastic about music and teaching. By having his lessons, you can not only learn about how to play piano as a professional but also how to enjoy music itself.Highly recommend Dan to any age and skill level, having piano lessons every weekend with Dan has become my most enjoyable activity for the whole week, I am sure it will become yours too!

Dan is a fantastic piano teacher and one I would highly recommend! As an adult beginner I'm amazed at the progress I've been able to make in just a few months under Dan's teaching. He is highly attentive and specifically caters his teaching to my individual progress. The lessons are a pleasure and always one of the highlights of my week!

Here is my son's review about Teacher Dan.When the first lockdown started in 2020, I was only 7 years old and wanted to try something new. Soon later I was in the Remifa studio doing a trial lesson. At end of the lesson, Teacher Dan asked, Do you want to start learning piano?" And I said "yes" because it seems fun and I also read somewhere that playing piano makes you smarter.During the years I have been improving so much that I even skipped Preliminary! Teacher Dan always taught me some very important life lessons such as you should play slow and accurate rather than fast but messy. Certificates mean nothing

Dan is a truly incredible teacher! I decided to try piano again as an adult after learning when I was younger, I had lost interest in it when exam stress overshadowed the whole experience of playing and enjoying music - but one lesson with Dan and I completely fell in love with piano again.Walking into Dans studio you instantly feel so welcome and at ease, he’s kind, patient and engaging (he even makes scales seem fun haha). Each lesson you leave feeling more confident and with clear guidance and tools to continue practicing.I highly recommend Dan for anyone wanting to learn piano!

I was looking for a piano teacher because I got a last minute notice for an audition. I had 2 months (8 weeks) to learn and improve my technique and musicality on this beautiful instrument. Then I found Dan who helped me and all I can say is I passed my audition!!! A very dedicated teacher, a mentor actually. A kind and patient person. I’m extremely happy for the job he has done.
