We came here on a rainy Monday night and was happy with some tummy-warming dishes. We ordered the jumbo prawns as a starter that came on a sizzling hot plate and was blown away by the mint sauce as well as the juiciness of the meat. This is followed by the Goan fish curry and the lamb shanks Rogan Josh that were both cooked perfectly.Overall, the food was delicious but everything looks old and the restaurant would benefit greatly from a renovation that can potentially take more advantage of its location and views.

I had malai kofta, the journey of eating was amazing and made me feel back to India. The chilli panner was super spicy to out taste.I gave 4 starts only because of the super long wait for more than 1 hr. In between the stater and mains.We came to the restaurant at 6:40pm and left at 8:50 pm, we had to leave back to Sydney that night.The food is a 5 out of 5, but the wait is 1 start.

We were so impressed by our choice to have our wedding reception here. All ‘round good vibes at Mango tree thanks to Abhishek and team who’s service was exceptional can’t thank them enough for giving us the best memories.Everything was perfect , every single person said the food was delicious and everyone had such a fun night...can’t help but Smile every time we drive past now ..definitely an all time fave, yummy!

Quite possibly the most disappointing experience I've had at an Indian restaurant. When I called to book a table for my partner and I, I was hung up on before I could ask to sit outside. When we arrived all the staff refused to look at or talk to my partner, and constantly cut us off mid sentence. I understand being busy during a dinner rush, I don't understand being curt with customers.We ordered the vegetarian korma, which was the worst curry I've ever had. The sauce was thin and watered down and the veges tasted like they'd been boiled from frozen then tossed in the sauce seconds before service. On the plus side, the garlic na'an was good.It's fair to say we won't be recommending our formerly favourite Indian restaurant to anyone again.

I had to change this review. The old review had 5 Star rating which I gave back in January. The quality of food has degraded so much the my rating has dropped to 2 stars. None of the items were as good as it was the first time we visited. Only reason for 2 star is the same quality it has for Cheese & Spinach Naan. The food is expensive but it was justified based on the quality, but now it feels that the pricing is not worth spending here depending on what they are giving you. We actually drove all the way from Sydney to have dinner here which was a waste of time & money both. They took 1 hour to give us the order & we found hair in one of the daal as well as rice.Old review with 5 Star rating:One of the best Indian food you can get in a restaurant. Amazing curry & dal. Naan was amazing too, especially cheese & spinach naan. Having dinner while hearing the soothing sound of sea is amazing. I’d recommend sitting outside to have amazing sea view while having dinner.Hope to visit here again soon enough for sure. This would be my go to place when I’m in Wollongong.

What a lovely view to dine next to. It’s located right next to the beach and you can enjoy the view while dining in.Food- 3/5. Inconsistent. We drive from Sydney to Wollongong frequently and dine here but the food is never consistent. We ordered chicken korma this time and the gravy was watery, had no salt/ seasoning. We requested them to take a look, they promptly changed it and sent back a much better version. Thank you for that.Service- 3/5 the lovely lady who took our order was polite and professional however she speaks very loudly. You can hear her outside while she’s talking inside the restaurant. It’s not very pleasant listening to their conversations while you’re trying to enjoy your meal.Ambience - 4/5 the restaurant is lovely on the inside. Beautiful decor, great views but they don’t play any music and you can hear all the chit chat and gibber jabber from inside the service area. The bathrooms could use some tending to as well.I would recommend this restaurant for the view.

Gone down hill massively.Most boring flavoured curry of my life.Meat was tough and poor quality (it's a curry, the cheapest of the cheap become tender)There isn't many meals I have not finished but this was one.Incredibly disappointed,They took a curry off the bill - doesn't resolve a heinous meal.Never again.

Great authentic Indian food.The staff was very helpful and friendly.Food was presented nice and cam out of the kitchen fast. Good place for some wholesome food and a casual get together.
