Medela Health

I have been with medela health for about 3 months now, and I must say I am very pleased with the quality of their service. The manager is always available to respond to calls even pass office hours. Their staff are friendly, and always listens to how I want them to support me which is key for me. I hope to be with them for a very long time.

I am a single mum of a 16 yr old who is on a wheel chair. Up until 6 months ago, I have been the main carer for my son, who is also intellectually disabled. I have had support with about 3 disability service agencies prior, and then met a friend who referred me to medela health, and I think I want to stick with them forever. I am so happy cos' my son is happy, and this gives me a ray of hope as I am hoping on easy transition to full support when he turns 18

What an amazing team of professionals supporting my 20yr old who is Autistic, and intellectually diabled. The support staff are very friendly, my son likes the kind of support he gets from them, nil complains from him, so far. I am glad we left our previous providers, and now with medela health.

My son's behaviour therapist has confirmed in 6 months not one of the several restrictive practices staff did as per plan were registratied or followed properly with safeguards. This is a huge violation as a registered company. Safeguards now have been notified as this was chased up but none of it ever actioned. All other emails and failed requests also forwarded including unfilled medication sheets on times staff rostered

Paid a visit to respite house son had been there 2 days no food in fridge/freezer or cupboards they forgot to buy food. Experience thereafter downhill barely wrote incident reports or reported restraints to safeguards. Wouldn't do certain tasks. Never took my son in the car for community activities just sat in the house on mobile most shifts. Barely signed thr medication sheets. Forgot to take emergency epilepsy medications when outside constantly. Terrible timekeeping and attitude. Employees were all friends and very unprofessional including the boss like an all male fraternity. Oh and there was near accident on freeway they all lied about putting my son in his harness on shift that is a PBS requirement. They never thought to say they were having problems installing it.EDIT: I had to get the behaviour therapist and support coordinator involved when my communications failed to achieve acceptable changes, plenty of emails and calls made that I have kept.
