Our Clarendon Home successfully completed in April 2023, and only a week behind the original target completion date which is a miracle really considering some of the challenges they faced with delays to framing timber which were outside their control. I have nothing but complements for the service and outcome we have received throughout the build process with Clarendon. Our site supervisor Shane was outstanding. From his regular weekly calls to the way he bent over backwards to try and get us in for a pretty tight deadline in the end. No matter the challenges he was all over them and I found very little to mention in the final defect inspection, which to me is a sure sign they were paying attention to the details....as I'm pretty fussy and have an eye for detail. Shane was always really friendly, professional and thorough. I actually miss our Friday calls! Can't thank him enough for his hard work.On the various site visits I made during the build I was always impressed with the tradies I met. Everyone seemed to be working hard and to care about the quality of their work. Thats definitely reflected in the end product. There was a fair bit of upfront work required to get to the point of build, in terms of all the selections....however in hindsight I appreciate the discipline Clarendon took to this process because ultimately the build was very smooth and with an outcome that exceeded our expectations. We would definitely build with Clarendon again. Thanks to Shane and the team! We're so happy with our new home!

WARNING !!!!! To all those who are looking to build with Clarendon homes.I am extremely disappointed and absolutely disgusted with the lack of customer service I received. After paying a large sum of money to them (over 400k) I would expect a quality home that clarendon homes advertise. This was definitely not the case, the house they built is not even sub par.I have attached the pictures to show what quality products they provide as well as the quality workmanship they so much rave about.I would like someone from clarendon homes (upper management) to give me a call regarding this.(you have all my details in your system)and definitely do not want to speak with Anthony (warranty manager) who is a manipulative LIAR !I had been in contact with clarendon since i received my keys with regards to issues. i had followed their instructions to the letter and yet majority of the works for warranty were not completed.now because my warranty is over (even though i had listed all the issues within the warranty period) they will not come and finish the work.LIST OF ISSUES NOT YET RECTIFIED:1: cracks on door frames.2: paint work on the ceilings in the bathrooms is not up to par and needs to be painted over again.3: all bathroom mirrors are recessed into the tiles.the mirror must be on top of the tiles. This is for all three bathrooms. Needs to be removed and tiled, then the mirror goes on top.4: cracking paint in laundry by the garage door5: locks on all doors do not lock properly as the handles are not aligned.6: the mixers on the wall are not aligned (centered) to the basin.7: front door does not lock properly anymore after it being replaced. I can not even use the front door anymore.8: corners walls are not painted properly, you can still see the gyprock colour.9: tiling in the laundry needs to be tiled till under the cupboards.Splashback is only tiled halfway.10: the edges in the butlers are not painted properly.11: the sink in the downstairs bathroom does not drain properly.Has happened since we received the keys to the house.12: cracking on render work, top center of garage and left had corner.13: patchy render work on right top hand side garage.14: patchy render work right hand side of garage ( corner looking into porch)15: silicone showing outside window frames ( not tidy)16: outside door frames render is over lapping and peeling.17: patchy render work right hand column backyard.18: rusting in all the sinks. sinks, this also includes both the bath tubs, which have only every been used twice.19: toilet seat in downstairs bathroom keeps moving.20 Skirting is cracking.21. Window frames are cracking. Also cracking on the sides on the window, as well as a few doors.22. Upstairs bathroom ceiling is cracked and pealing.23. Grouting on tiles is uneven in the bathroom and throughout the house. In some areas it is clumpy, and rough.24 . The tiles are unevenly laid down, both wall and floor tiles.25. The tiles are not laid to form a straight line, from one end to another. Most edges of tiles are not in line.26. Grout lines are very uneven and very noticeable, some a wider, some are thinner some start wide then become thinner.27. The grout is showing signs of efflorescent and needs to be rectified.28. Edges of majority of the walls are not painted properly.29. Bulkhead above the stairs in the corners are not properly finished.30. Work done to under the stairs is poorly done, there are split timbers, splintered ( which is painted over) and nails protruding out.31. Aluminium corners for bathroom tiles. The tiles are not inline with the aluminium both for corners and the niches in bathrooms.32. Pillar lighting points are not at the agreed height (1900mm). The three points are not even in line and are at different heights.the height on the lighting point on one of columns is over 200mm higher.33. Different colour silicone applies to tile finishes.

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO BUILD A DOG KENNEL LET ALONE MY HOUSE. But stupidly I signed a contract and did it.This has to have been the most frustrating 18 months of my life from a company that apparently prides themselves on building quality homes. The quality part is very disputable. From constant delays still apparently blaming covid and labour shortages due to the fact that do treat their subcontractors poorly and they leave for greener pastures. It doesn’t relay any confidence that you will either get a house built at all or any quality in that as well.I would highly recommend putting this company below Metricon as being the most unreliable, incorrigible and rudest customer service or construction managers to be apart of building any house. Please don’t sign with them as you will only have a nightmare building your dream home.

We had a warranty claim through Clarendon for what ended up being a minor issue. I can honestly say that the quality of service with this was top quality. The tradesman that come out was able to identify the issue and fix the issue to a very professional standard.Kim from the warranty department was very helpful whilst getting this sorted. Easy to talk to, problem solved quickly and coordinated professionally. Despite all the challenges in the construction industry I think she does her job well and is a great asset to their team. The home we live in is beautiful and is commented on furthermore by friends and family all the time.

WARNING!!! Do not build with ClarendonHomes. I have been tossing up to write this as we thought that they would fix the massive issues we have had in our 60 day defect list but, we have heard nothing and we have been in our home for over 60 days. Things we brought up in hand over are still not fixed. This experience has been a nightmare from the start to finish and the only way to get anything done was the keep the pressure on them. You will be spending your whole time, calling and trying to get updates. Their staff are abusive towards clients and full of excuses. No one talks to each other and is able to read a contract. They try and charge you for extra things that should be included in the design or are included in the contract.I could go on for ages with all the issues with Clarendon.

Our investment property was built by Clarendon in later 2017. Tenants have already reported 3 respective water leakage issues, which were caused by poor roofing workmanship and poor quality of the roof tiles.Tenants have recently reported that water marks appearing on the ceiling again, exterior spotlights filling with mist/water and having power tripping. Meantime, a cracked roof tile was spotted which has been causing the slow water leakage. There has been no foot traffic on the roof no any hail since the home handover, no solar panels installed on it.A few years ago, we contacted Clarendon regarding a water leak/cracked tile issue. Clarendon warranty team advised us that this was not under warranty. If we knew the poor tile quality and poor workmanship, we would at least have chosen Colorbond steel. Clarendon should not offer a problematic product to customers. If you are going to build a new home, we won’t recommend Clarendon and wish we didn’t build with it.

I spent $466,000 building my 2 storey house with Clarendon in 2019.Since the handover I have had ongoing issues with the roof tiles.1) In September 2019 I had an exterior spotlight which kept filling up with water and kept shorting my electrical circuit. Clarendon arranged to replace the light thinking it was faulty but it still kept filling up with water. Eventually it was discovered that it was a cracked roof tile that was causing the leak.2) In October 2020 I found mould on the ceiling of bedroom 2. Clarendon found that the cause of this was slow water leakage from another cracked tile. Clarendon did repair the ceiling.3) On 28 February 2022 I awoke to water covering the floor in my downstairs living room. I checked upstairs and found that the ceiling in bedroom 3 had collapsed, the entire floor and carpet is filled with water and the ceiling downstairs is cracked as water has escaped through the ceiling. There was water flooding in my downstairs living room. On closer inspection, there is obvious mould spots on the ceiling and walls which indicates that there has been water there for some time, and that the recent rain deluge caused the collapse of the ceiling. This is the same onset as the previous issue.I contacted Clarendon Homes regarding this as it obviously looks like another cracked tile. Clarendon Homes advised me to claim on my house insurance for this damage. They stated in this instance as there is storm damages involved

After a bit of restructuring probably down to COVID we ended up with Shane Lloyd as our site supervisor. We've received nothing but the best service from Shane with much anticipated Friday afternoon phone call updates outlining the week gone by and upcoming works. He has been an absolute pleasure to deal with and has been extremely professional when taking us through our walkthrough, adding value with helpful tips and excellent banter! Good old fashioned customer care at its finest.

We signed a tender to build our home with Clarendon Homes and already paid a $ 3000 deposit, but we are not happy with the contract terms. Project completion days are 440 days and late completion charges are only 25 $ per day. I request them to change to LDs charges as per the current market rent, but they refused. We can not get our deposit back because they have it for the soil test. I wish we had known these contract terms earlier, we have never chosen Clarendon Homes. Three months wasted on this process with Clarendon home. Please check their contract before paying any deposit to Clarendon Home, they are running late for most of the projects.
