The Friendly Inn Hotel
A group of 6 of us came here on Sunday afternoon, after visiting the Farmers Markets. The hotel is well maintained and staff are friendly. The food which I ordered, and was recommended and on the special menu was a bit disappointing. Pasta was overcooked and the corn tempura lacked the batter to make it more like a fritter. The chips though was okay, but gravy was a bit watery. However, my friend's steak sandwich was cooked well. Portions were generous and there's a live band at the back. Not bad for dropping by. However I'll recommend to try to more classic pub foods.

Great interior design keeping the original building and interior design. Amazing display of vintage early 1900 memorabilia and decor.The food was a bit on the pricey end in comparison to the smaller cafes and restaurants nearby. The portions were huge though.Delicious pub style food. Bar on one side and the restaurant on the other.

The outside area is really nice on a warm day - live music was on which was also a great addition. When it comes to food, vegan options on the menu are tasty but definitely not worth its price - asian salad especially. Portions are small snd not fulfilling. Wouldn't recommend eating here if you're vegan but drinks and atmosphere is great.

Absolutely disgusting place, we were coming through Kangaroo Valley during the night so we decided to stop for food but what we found was beyond a shock.. The tables were dirty - we watched someone else leave, someone working there picked up their plate and didn't wipe the tables down, super unhygienic.We ordered food, the table we were placed at had dirt on it, absolutely disgusting, we ordered food off the menu and WITHOUT any sign or notices, we were told there's a 10% surcharge for weekends... Never have i ever seen this in my life even in Coffs Harbour down to Eden and we travel alot of places on the coast for work.Food came out and it was a bit average and the fish tasted like cardboard but digging through the salads we found super old lettuce that was BLACK AND ROTTEN!,(Got a photo before some worker started staring at us looked like he was about to threaten/intimidate us) Proof they don't wash their containers at all - this place is a disappointment and really disgusting. Nothing is CLEAN.

Amazing pub, unsurprisingly popular with the locals! Gets very busy at peak times of the weekend with people from far and wide, so it's worth booking. Huge outdoor areas, perfect for kids & also did friendly.Comes with plenty of character and the staff are very friendly.The menu is full of pub classics & the food is delicious. What's not to like!!

The food here was really good and fast service. I had a chicken schitti and mash and veg and my friend had beef narchos. The staff are great and they carry a wide selection of craft beer. I also like the pub because it has character and is not modern and 'posh'. It is an old school pub with a really nice vibe.

2023 (3.5 stars)I am sadly disappointed this time round. Every time we came here, the steak was great. This time, not so. The cut was tough and grizzly. The chimichurri sauce that went well with the steak is now replaced with less than average mushroom or pepper sauce.The garlic bread was slapped on with so much butter, but no garlicky taste, nor was it baked or heated up to enhance the flavour.Everything else about the pub is great.2022 (5 stars)The steak was great! Cooked perfectly to my liking. Loved the chimichurri sauce. Chips was so crunchy. This is my go-to place in Kangaroo Valley.

We visited on a Sunday for lunch and there's a band playing. We sat outside and it was an enjoyable experience. We had beef nachos, spring rolls and lamb curry. Will come back!

The Friendly Inn Hotel
The kitchen was too busy that they mixed up our orders. Ordered steak with mash and chips but ended up getting only chips and salad. They forgot the mushroom sauce that we ordered as well. Food is average.
