If you are thinking to prepare a delicious dish made with fish, this is the place for buy the principal ingredient. It has accessible prices and a good hours to make purchases.

I find it as one of the advantages of living in an Asian area! We get to buy different varieties of fish and sea foods and obviously the fresh ones. Some you will not find in other markets. My personal favourites are the mud crabs and the white baits. Price is reasonable but I think there should be more shops for fishes. Not too many are there so you don't have the choice sometimes.

There are actually two fish markets here the second one called Lord Barramundi if you can't get what you want at one the other one will have it.They must have a fairly good relationship between the two of them because when I ask for one particular type of fish the first or didn't have it and pointed me straight to the second.

The fish is really pricey and with the expensive prices the quality of the fish is actually bad. Furthermore, the store actually stink which tells me that they do not clean it daily. In my opinion the best place to get at Fish Pier in Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre as the prices and service is amazing.

Best salmon I have ever bought. The only problem is that their fresh seafood made me overeat everyday lol. And the staffs are extremely friendly and genuine. I strongly recommend this store. I will always go back. :)

You can find most fresh fish , chicken here but over time the service has suffer . Last time if you ask you be return with a friendly answer I guess patience is now worn off . Sadly Melbourne has changed hope it maintain its charm. Alternatively go out and cross the street walk right and you will get to a mini market service is excellent and price is lower I forgot the name and after my first visit I never went back to the fish market.

I bought 4 fresh squid there ,2 of them were stuffed whole whitting fish around 150gm inside the squid as weight !

I went today to “Box Hill Fish Market” and bought a variety of seafood to make pasta. I was looking at the prawns, and there were 3 types - green tiger prawns, king prawns and black tiger prawns. Was going to get the green tiger; but the lady said the black tiger prawns are definitely the best out of the 3. I did not ask, but since she recommended, I bought what she recommended.Whilst cleaning, I realised they were soft and had limpy heads, a clear sign that they have been defrosted more than once. After cooking, most were mushy and slightly grey (not the usual bright orange/white). They were definitely cooked properly, so it was very clear that I was recommended something they were trying to get rid off. The pipis and mussels were fresh at least. But I’ll never return as a customer simply due to their dishonesty. It’s really not okay to sell seafood that’s not fresh; but it’s worst to be dishonest to promote it as “best” so you get rid of it quicker.

Went to the fish market in box hill central but was greeted by the most rude server I was that shocked that I walked away unfortunately. Will never return as the customer service was awful... ended up getting fish from Woolworths.
