I did a class at Dye Haus and ended up with nasty rashes all over my hands from a reaction to the dyes she uses. When I brought this to their attention they could not have been less empathetic. Would not recommend.

DyeHaus studio is set in a stunning, magical location and is a wonderful creative space in which to explore indigo and natural dyeing. Bettina is a knowledgable, inspiring and accomplished artist and teacher who generously shares her expertise and passion for shibori and eco-dyeing/printing. Thank you for such a wonderful workshop

Bettina has all the skills, enthusiasm, generosity and things you will need for a great experience. Her knowledge of different dyeing techniques, especially indigo shibori is excellent. Her studio is a wonderful, cosy and well equipped space to work. I can’t think of a better place to be to learn new skills, add to what you already know and meet like minded people. Thank you!

Love the Dyehaus workshops - Bettina is so generous and accommodating for all who attend, whether newbies or experienced. Going to Mt Irvine is a treat but shorter workshops in the city also give a great taste of different dying techniques.

My wife and I had a wonderful day at Dyehaus the Blue Mountains. Bettina is a wonderful teacher and true expert of her craft. I was quite hesitant after being dragged along by my wife but it was a great experience and i learned a lot. I can recall seeing a lot of the same designs and styles from my extensive travels to Japan. I now know this is called Shibori"! Was a lot of fun being being able to replicate this on some t-shirts and shirts I brought along."

Dyehaus workshops are a great introduction to working with natural dyes and traditional shibori techniques. Bettina has studied textile dyeing around the world and shares her knowledge and passion easily with her students. I have been in her workshops many times and have beautiful pieces to show for it. She is a generous person and a great teacher with fantastic materials and studio space to work in.

Bettina at DyeHaus offers wonderful, immersive workshops in indigo dyeing, natural dyeing and shibori techniques, for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Bettina is generous with the extensive knowledge she’s acquired over the years and around the globe, and the workshops are engaging, educational and fun. Plus you get to go home with a beautiful handmade textile! The Mt Irvine studio is in a magnificent peaceful location in the Blue Mountains (recommended), or you can attend a city based workshop in Avalon. Highly recommended.
