Brokenback Views Country Estate Hunter Valley

Very modern and great location!The view was beautiful, we loved sitting on the balcony most evenings to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset! Very clean and beautiful spot for a romantic getaway. Would definitely stay again in the near future. Thank you!!!

Beautiful place, recently renovated. Needs a few finishing touches sorted but that is nit picking. Well stocked rooms / apartments with breathtaking scenery and kangaroos jumping through the landscape.

The property is beautiful, has all the amenities, well stocked kitchen in relation to plates, boards, glassware, crockery, utensils etc. Complimentary bottle of wine (thank you). View is magnificent. off the main road, so quiet and tranquil, but close to everything. The only downside, and it was small, was the bathroom is on the lower level and the bedroom on the upper floor and the stairwell is quite creaky. So albeit the floor difference isn't a problem, we woke one another as a result of the staircase being noisy on the way up and down in the night.Would stay here again!

Booked into 'Cricket' but we didn't stay... Got into the villa and immediately walked out. The pictures on their website are not indicative of the condition of the place, there were gaps in the windows where a cold breeze came through, the fly screens were torn and detached, the walls scuffed and marked and some of the fittings were loose. The deal breaker was the seating - 2 wing chairs which were torn up as though they had been scratched with a nail with the foam coming through. The general condition was grubby with very obvious dust on surfaces. This is on top of the difficulty in finding the place with no signposts or notices and a rutted, pothole filled driveway. The ONLY additional facilities were a kettle, torch and a TV. For the cost - c. $345 a night - this is extremely poor. Fortunately, the staff at Weekenda were able to move us.

Brokenback Views Country Estate really impressed me.We had previously stayed at a slightly cheaper offering down the road, and it was disappointing to say the least. Brokenback views was only a little more expensive, so we thought it might too be a collection of flattering photos, and that our actual room would be substandard. How wrong we were.The rooms were really well decked out with art, Hampton’s style ceilings and clean.Then there is the location. Yes it’s a little way down from the Broke/McDonald road roundabout, but it’s actually not that far in a car. The rooms are far away from the road, and the place is quiet. Not eerily quiet, but it’s like you are in another world. The city is far removed, and it is just you and manicured lawns (but no staff). When we were there, we only saw one couple who were out all day anyway, so it was just so private. Amazing.Then we come to some of the luxuries.- Reidel glassware;- Lurpak butter;- Nespresso coffee and fancy tea bags in pyramid teabags;- All the requirements to stay in and do your own meal prep (including cutting knives that are actually sharp);- Jurlique toiletries;- 4-ply toilet paper (yes 4-ply!!);- Air freshener in the bathroom.I could go on and on. We went in with low expectations, but were blown away with the standard of offering. So much so, that we actually chose to just stay at the house, not go out to the wineries. On that note, the property literally nextdoor has the 2022 Cellar door of the year, and a cheese shop.Just a fantastic experience, and we will stay here again in the future.

OK. Overpriced. Have stayed in many better places at a more reasonable price, with better views. Yes it's quiet, good view, reasonably located, BUT grounds not looked after, dead plants in pots, only 2 sachets of coffee for 3 days, verandah posts eaten out by termites.

Room is nice and clean. Very comfy bed and beautiful view. We’ve enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely best of the best! We stayed in the Grand Villa and it is the most luxurious and perfect place to stay in!Danny, James and the team did an outstanding job at taking care to all our needs and we enjoyed every moment. Will definitely be back!!

We stayed in one of the villas within this estate for 2 nights during Christmas Holiday. It was truely refreshing. Would love to visit again soon.

Tranquil and serene setting . Charming villas that are clean and well appointed. Very comfortable bed. Highlight was waking up in the morning to kangaroos by the water in front of our verandah. Would definitely stay again.
