Ochre Medical Centre Noosa

Very disappointed today, had an appointment last week, after 20-30 minutes computer wasn’t working so made another appointment for today, had just parked the car when I got a phone call, computer still not working. Surely I could have been notified before I left home. 20 minute drive, then the hassle of finding a park, only to have to drive home again with nothing accomplished. Not happy.

The nurses are lovely. The Receptionist spend a lot of time answering phones and being busy on the computer as opposed to serving the customers that are there.They changed my child’s vaccination appointment numerous times. Which resulted in the appointment being canceled altogether. I showed up with my 4 month old and they told me I’d need to wait hours to see a Dr. I said I had organised the appointment around my child’s feed. Absolutely no regard for my child being a baby.

I booked my husband a GP appointment today with Dr Winn to get a referral for a blood test to find out what blood type he is. This was on advice from our midwife as I am a negative blood group and 29 weeks pregnant and I won’t require the anti-D injection if my husband is also a negative blood type (hence us wanting to find out). When my husband told Dr Winn this- she told him very bluntly that the test we were asking for was unnecessary and that I should get the anti D injection no matter his blood type because there is a “10% chance” the baby isn’t biologically his baby! She went on to tell him we were making poor health decisions and lectured him on the “dangerous” decision we were making- all based on the assumption that I had cheated on him and the baby wasn’t his. After some insistence from my husband, she reluctantly agreed to give him the referral for the test but told him he would have to pay the full amount for it because it was “unnecessary”. She then passively aggressively asked him what other blood tests he would like to purchase today.I’m not sure why this lady is allowed to work as a GP when she is clearly very uneducated in basic general pregnancy care. She is also quite clearly burnt out and not treating patients with any sort of respect or dignity. I would suggest that she do some extra training or maybe consider a career change.

I was visiting from Sydney and needed to see a doctor. After calling a handful of different medical centers in Noosa and surrounds to no avail, the accommodation I was staying at recommended Ochre Noosa.The team were professional, friendly and proactive and welcomed me as a traveler to their clinic ( when the other centers including other Ochre Centres made me feel ashamed embarrassed for calling as I was not local).The care was top notch, doctor, nurse and also staff were all friendly and consummate professionals.This is a well run business and I would have no hesitation in recommending.A million thanks to you for helping me today.

Staff and Dr Winn were receptive and friendly. I would suggest that it's noted on your website that new patients are slogged with an extra fee taking it from $87 to $105 for a standard consultation and still getting the same rebate back.....

I waited 1hour 15 minutes for my appointment, I ended up having to leave so the doctor didn’t even see me, the ladies behind the counter were very rude and inconsiderate when I asked them how much longer it would be, my toddler was in pain and I am pregnant, I expect much more care and concern from a private medical centre! Please train your staff to be more courteous and respectful to people.

I attended the practice for the first time today. In all ways my experience exceeded my expectations. The initial contact to make the appointment , the checking in and medical history information was all done in a friendly professional manner.The office is managed very well and that is obvious to a new patient. My consultation with Dr Witt was excellent , she is a very good practitioner and she listened , and gave me great advice and a good plan for the future management of my problem.

Beautiful friendly staff. Poor things were so busy as soon as the doors opened but they were so calm and collected. Will definitely be going again!! Xx

My 80 y.o. mum, who is Pensioner Concession Card (Commonwealth) holder was charged for 10 minutes consultation $95 instead of $70, as indicated on the clinic's website and was confirmed with a receptionist over the phone prior to our visit.No sound explanation or any apology were given, apart of a very reluctant attempt by a receptionist to check with the doctor"

Tried to do the right thing and book by the app as requested and was declined because we are new patients (here on holiday) appointment was given to someone else. Now my husband has to struggle the rest of the holiday with ear pain. What’s the point of your app
