The final curtain in the story where WW1 came to Broken Hill. The site is unremarkable with a couple of explanatory signs.It's still neat to stand on the exact spot where this event occurred.Visit the train museum and the ambush sites prior to coming to this site.

Amazing history. who new muslim’s we’re selling Ice cream in 1915 in Broken Hill! and had political opinions. Bravo! To some extent humanity has gone backwards in 2019.

An interesting history behind this site. The first place to have enemy battle on Australian soil when 2 Turkish men shot at people at Broken Hill during WW1.

This was a great short stop to explore, being a historical site of a gun battle, with some story information boards and an ice cream cart replica here too. Great views from the historical site and a pleasant place to go for a walk. No signs to advise that dogs are not allowed, so we took ours who liked to explore this small area which was great.

I come from Ballaarat, the other place where we had a rebellion. But, this is a really impressive site. A piece of our history that is not widely recognised. A classic example of the consequences of racial intolerance and discrimination.
