Black Diamond Lake
We've visited black Diamond Lake several times before but not stayed for a swim. Today we visited and found the water colour a much more beautiful green than we've seen before. Plus it wasn't very busy so we had a nice pocket with an easy to get to beach - all to ourselves. Dropped off very deep where we were, so not for little toddlers (in this section).Beautifully natural and surrounded by big trees (unlike Stockton, which is stunning in a man-made way), this is a big lake with many access points to the water. And easy to get to, just off the main road in Allanson.

It was ok but the colour was more green than blue was very dusty gravel around the outside. The bottom of the lake stired up very easy. The signs warning of putting your head under was enough to put us off going for a swim. Seemed much like any other lake.

Beautiful spot to swim and have a picnic. DON'T DIVE, DON'T PUT THE HEAD UNDER WATER. We didn't check the signs and we could've got meningitis since there's this dangerous seaweed in the water.

Absolutely amazing. The water is so warm, the scenery is awesome and it's a great place to spend the day with the kids. A lot of photo opportunities too.Can get busy, so come a little earlier to get a good spot, but really, it's all about getting in the water and staying there most of the day.

Very beautiful spot that is situated just out of Collie. The crazy thing is you can't swim here! I suppose you can but don't put your head under water. There are bugs in the water the signs say that can cause Amoebic meningitis.Anyway it's a pass from me...

Old mine site that's now a lake. The unusual colour is dependent on time of day and clear sky's. No facilities. It could be a nice if there were some designated wslking trails, grasses areas, picnic tables, and easy swimming access (if safe to swim in the lake). 4WD and dirt bikes have caused a lot of damage & erosion.

As it was winter we stopped here for half an hour to walk around and see the beauty. The reflections were amazing and at one point we saw a family of ducks. We were the only people there!

Not as impressive has some might think. The lake is rarely the colour showing on the internet but still nice to visit also a lot smaller than what I thought.

This place is beautiful for a day time swim or kayak but bear in mind not to dip your head into the water/drink the water. This place is also awesome for astrophotography. However, be careful as there are people that scavenge for food in the dumpsters in this area at night. Could be dangerous.
