Please don't joint with this Scholarship program because it is a trap and cheating. We took membership in April 2015 because my friend was working with this company. He didn't explained all the details about product disclosure statements especially cancelation policy (at the time joining). When we read ASG policy update in 2019, we shocked due to couple of their rules. We stopped our contributions because of their rules & policy therefore we lost $707. All of our investment returns went to common pool and ASG not even paid single benefits or interest.

I would not have anything to do with this company again and would recommend no one puts their hard earned money into this business. I invested for 12 years and the total amount they claimed my child would receive was nothing like what she ended up with. They should hang their heads in shame.

A family member worked for this company in telephone support, and if anything the view from the inside was even worse than the comments by other customers would indicate: retrospectively changing the rules on what study courses would be supported; lack of separation between the capital fund management and the operational management; insufficient returns to cover promises to fully pay tuition, due to poor investment strategy (bank term deposit interest minus operational costs); archaic IT systems that would often be unavailable to branch offices (especially in NZ); paying sign-up bonuses to councillors" while telling new customer there are no commissions; continuing to deduct bank payments from parents of dead children; addressing letters to "Dear Deceased". No doubt a few of these have been fixed by now

Dishonest, disreputable, and uncaring! My wife and I signed up for a scholarship account with these people for our second child under the misleading advice of their sales consultant. The gentleman came to our home and made claims that were later found to be either incorrect or outright lies. When brought to the attention of the head office, we were stonewalled and advised that much of what we had been told was in fact incorrect, but this business has refused to rectify the issues that have arisen due to their employees deplorable behaviour. For your own piece of mind, I would stay away.

DO NOT JOIN.We joined the ASG group in 2007. . Contributed monthly for 12 years for both our children. ASG promises once the child is in secondary a quarterly benefit would be paid for secondary and a tertiary benefit subsequently. My daughter completed year 12 and commenced her tertiary education in January. They will not pay the Tertiary Benefit owed of $6,216.50. This is as per the Certificate of Membership. We were told we would receive this figure when the child completes their secondary education. When I rang, they refused and advised this is not the case. The Certificate of Membership shows otherwise. You are better off opening a trust fund and contributing to the trust fund.
