Thank you for our wonderful Truffle Hunt on Sunday. Fantastic morning unearthing truffles with the help of your chocolate" truffle dog. :) What a great way to start the day. Very interesting information and yummy morning tea. Thoroughly recommend this experience!"

We spent a small fortune on wine and truffle products as it was Truffle weekend. Staff very helpful and kind. Big disappointment was paying $25 for a “truffle” burger, basically a supermarket bun, untoasted, with a meat patty that definitely didn’t taste of truffle. And would you like cheese with that? Rips open a pack of sliced supermarket cheese! And “if you’d like truffle sauce help yourself at the tasting room”. No salad. No onion. No truffle apparently. Taking the p*** guys

Very disappointed with this place. Had high hopes of a great atmosphere and good food. Despite the good and friendly service, the food served had two problems; immensely overpriced and the elements of the dish were not thought through. We ordered the truffle platter, pizza and pappardelle pasta. The truffle platter had more salad than truffle and meat, which begs the question what was it doing there? It didn't complement the platter whatsoever and the platter didn't highlight truffle whatsoever. The meat used tasted as if it could be bought from coles, was cold and all thst was done was placed the dips, cheese etc across it. It did not look or taste like a $54.50 dish. The highlight of the platter was the truffle honey and the turkish bread. The pasta was very plain and no one was able to taste the truffle. For $42.50 it fell way beyond standards. You can get better pasta dish for much less and add your own truffle oil/cream/ powder without spending that much and actually taste truffle. The pizza was a big disappointment, the base looked like a frozen pizza base and the toppings were just scattered on with truffle and mushroom where you can only taste the cheese. For $21.50 and only 6 slices of pizza that wasn't woodfired and again lacking truffle, definitely not worth it.Overall, the food is way overpriced and would definitely not recommend eating here. Their store is nice and they have good truffle oil and honey to purchase (you can get some at Victoria Park) but don't waste your money and 3 hr drive to dine here.Hope they improve the food and dining atmosphere because the prices charged for food should leave customers feeling it was worth every cent.

Truffle and Wine Co. - What a fantastic place this is - set amongst 53 acres of Jarrah and Karri trees .The Black Winter Truffles – known the world over as a rare delicacy and also known as Black Gold, were shown to us in a small tub and there was about $2,500 dollars’ worth in there. The oak and hazelnut trees on the property were first inoculated in 1997 and the owners had to wait 6 years for the first truffle crop to be discovered. That is some faith in their investment. They initially produced 600kg and now produce over 5,000kg – over 60% of the total produced by Australia. They were also the first company to produce Black Truffles in Australia. They use dogs to find the truffles – and they are labradors, because they are motivated by food – no surprises there then.We had tastings of various wines and were told so much by a really informative young lady, which of course led to some wonderful purchases – for our friends, lots of wine, and for us some liqueur truffle wine – OMG it is just lush! We are bound by luggage weights and restrictions or it would have been a lot more such are the bargains to be had.

The truffle product tasting was yum. The wine tasting was 3 wines for $5. Redeemable if you bought a bottle of wine. The Riesling was great and I am not a Riesling drinker

Amazing. Loved it. Delicious. Wanted to buy everything. Such welcoming, friendly service- we went in just to buy a few truffle products and stayed for a wine tasting and pizza! Got a gorgeous bottle of red to enjoy while camping. Looking forward to heading back and stocking up!

The woman cashier was very unhelpful and didn’t have the smallest care in the world if our group of friends needed any help or info on any products. We stood around for ages until she decided to finally serve us at the counter. When asked about buying more fresh truffles she said she doesn’t know and to call the number. But don’t you work there?! Then after taking payment she gladly made her way back to the conversation she was having with a couple of people who were tasting some wine. I mean, we were paying customers - we bought truffles and other products but were made to feel like we weren’t welcomed. I understand if the place was busy - but it was dead. It was just the couple and our small group of friends. Do we all need to be pretentious middle aged wannabe wine tasters to get some attention? Just left really disappointed after hoping this could be a memorable experience. Will definitely not recommend and will be actively trying to discourage people from visiting this small shop. Not worth it! People can buy truffles anywhere these days, it’s the experience we are after… and this is not it!
