Ate here for the first time this week and was really disappointed. Female staff member (owner? manager?) serving us was too busy complaining about her life to wait on us properly. The salad with my meal was old. Slimy mushrooms and lettuce. Can't see this place lasting.

Drinks were good and my daughter enjoyed her BLT. However l ordered the fruit toast then shortly was told they only had one slice left and would l like to change my order or substitute one slice with sourdough bread and jam, l agreed. What l didn’t realise was the last slice of fruit toast was a small thin slice of the crust with barely any substance or fruit in it. I just wonder what their thinking was to think that was appropriate to serve or charge for. Staff were friendly though.

Excellent discovery. Strange we only live 30 kms away and travel past fairly frequently and never realised it has become a cafe. When I last looked was a milk bar. Good food. Partner said pasta was delicious and my burger was just the right size - not too big and not too small. Chips very very crisp and fresh. We also got large milkshakes. Thick and creamy and in the traditional metal cup. Some outdoor seating for us with dogs, although is limited. Be nice to expand it out a bit (not sure if it’s a home or storeroom immediately next door but it’s flat out front). Take care. The menu appears to have mainly breakfast stuff on it. Lunch items like what we ordered were on a blackboard inside that you might miss. Recommend.

Homy cafe food, very generous fillings in the sandwich, Eggplant, bacon and cheese, it was dripping with tasty filling, and I would come back every day for another.

We stopped by on Five flag merchants for brunch today, what a great place! Coffee was excellent and food was good too. I think this is a family run place, hence got bit more attention to their customers. Cool vibes and old architecture. Will be back!

Beautiful local cafe and general store. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, great coffee and mini cheesecake! I don’t visit this special spot enough.

My husband and I were driving through Castlemaine and found this absolute gem of a place. Loved it!! Excellent customer service and yummy food. Cool rustic space and food were decent portions too.Shout out to Mark and Natasha for the great service and food.Will def be back!
