Desert Gateway Dirt Bike Tours

I’ve been over in Oz for a few months with work and wanted a trip out in the outback and do some kind of tour. I’ve only ridden on tarmac and fancied a go on a dirt bike and was very happy desert gateway dirt bike tours had some space on one of there three day tours. Day one and we carved our way from Thargomindah to the Bulloo downs homestead. 160k later we had traveled on everything from single track and real fast gravel/sand roads. That evening we had set up camp and had a cold beer and a swim for the epic sunset!Day two and we made our way to Hungerford country pub. En-route we got a chance to look at some epic scenery and shared the trails with some curious kangaroos!We saved the best for last on day three. Starting early we headed through the Currawinya national park and went to visit everything in the park from the massive granite boulders to the salt water lake! the riding started on fast, wide desert roads before finishing on some rocky steeper stuff. We then made our way to nearby Yowah where we met up with local legend Outback Mac. A retired desert racer he showed us the ‘scenic route’ to his farm and our final campground. The route was pure adrenaline fuelled single track, over creeks, up gullies and cutting through the shrub, it was absolute class! 300 km later and the lads where gubbed! Just as well the camp was already setup and the beers where in the cooler!Couldn’t recommend this company enough; great routes, cool riding, solid bikes, great camping spots and class craic throughout!
