We were craving for biriyani and went to Bolan. We tried the goat and chicken biriyani and they both were excellent, I did prefer the goat over the chicken.The BBQ platter ( platter one ) was really good as well.I felt they were reasonably priced and had generous portions.The only issue I had was with the wait time, we had to wait a while after we were seated to get the food.The food itself was great and I will happily recommend it to everyone.

Restaurant serving classic Pakistani food. Karahi is the dish to orderOne of the special item was lamb brain masala, nostalgic item.Biryani is excellent, HOWEVER unfortunately found a metal wire in it (see picture).Curries have too much tomato and are too oily for my taste. The biryani while excellent in taste initially had metal shavings in it, very unsafe especially for feeding children

I called last Thursday 13/4, and made a booking for 6 people for the Ramadan iftar on Sunday 16/4.The person who took the booking, advised that there was availability and accepted the booking for 5.30pm. This staff member who took my name and number, advised me that if we did not arrive within 15 minutes after iftar had commenced, the table would be given away. I assured him we would arrive in time to break fast and even asked him whether there was a prayer room facility for Maghreb prayers after breaking fast.Because 2 people were unable to make it, I called around 5.15 on Sunday to advise of this and to also say that we would be later than 5.30 but would still arrive by the time of Iftar which was around 5.52. I was told by the person who took the call that there was no booking confirmed in my name and that they were fully booked.I informed him of the time on Thursday that I had made the call, however, he advised me that if I didn’t receive a text confirmation , then the booking hadn’t been made. He also said that he would check what he could do to accommodate us and would call me back, but instead of calling, he sent me a text to say that he could not accommodate us.This was the first time that I had made a booking at this restaurant, therefore unless I was told of their policy to confirm the booking by text, how would I know that I needed to follow up because I hadn’t received one?Additionally, rather than accepting that it was possible that his colleague had not advised me that the booking would only be confirmed if I received a text,, he took the view that it was unlikely that I would not have been told of this, therefore suggesting that I, as the customer, had either failed to follow up, or was lying that I had not been advised of their booking policy.Furthermore, if we had turned up as we would have done if nobody had dropped out, would they have turned us away, considering the fact that we had to break our fast on time?As it turned out, we had to still travel to carlton and find an alternative restaurant, by which time, we were late to break our fast.On a day when there was so little time left to break fast, it was completely callous on his part, not to accommodate us,I still have the phone records of my conversation on Thursday as confirmation and would have given zero stars as a review if this was an available option.

Food was good. Like the taste of Malai boti. Location is beautiful and setup is awesome. But needs to work on customers services. FOH staff must be smiley and energetic that’s the beauty of hospitality, Otherwise good experience.Rest of that I like sauce with malai booti, it was absolutely amazing and something different.

Authentic Pakistani food that’s all I could think of about Bolan. This is relatively new place here’s what I loved about them.- Decor and atmospheric really nice makes you feel welcome, they are paying traditional folk music.- I found staff pretty attentive and service is pretty quick. Few Pakistani places lack in this area but not this one.- We order mutton biryani and chicken boti both are done nicely.Overall loved the place and looking forward to visiting them again

Every item was fantastic I must say. We also ordered Kulcha which was tasty but Garlic Naan was just ok.. I did not post Chicken Karahi which was extremely good as well. The manager was good enough to make tea for all of us. Must try place.

I went there on a Sunday night and had the best dinner in a long time. The ambience was great and the service was just amazing. We started with a serve of the chicken winglets which were absolutely mouthwatering. I ordered a creamy chicken and mushroom pasta and was so happy with the taste and texture of it. However, there was almost no chicken in the dish so I told the waitress and she immediately sent it back. We got the pasta after a short wait and it was perfect, just like we wanted it. The waitress, Shruti, was very friendly and attentive, she made our dine in experience an unforgettable one. The platter 2 we ordered, was so good that I finished it despite being so full. I will definitely come back soon with some of my other friends.

We were always on the lookout for an authentic Pakistani restaurant in town, and when we passed by this place, we were puzzled by the mixed cuisine of the restaurant.. as they serve both Pakistani & Italian food... but that didn't stop us from walking in, and to our surprise, it gave an immediate vibe of authenticity and hospitality.We were welcomed by very friendly staff, and we ordered the Mutton Biryani (goat pieces cooked with rice in traditional style biryani herbs & spices served with raita) & the Chicken Tikka (1 Chicken Thigh Piece Spiced With Special Herbs & Spices Served With Chatni). Both were perfectly spiced & juicy... exactly what we were looking for all along!Highly recommended restaurant for a hearty meal & and delicious food. We are looking forward to come back again & try their breakfast once they launch it.

Cannot fault this place!There was lots of seating including outdoor seating at the front of the shop and also at the back.Staff are friendly and service was precise and prompt.Food was good proportions and very yummy. Initially I was not sure about the Italian and Pakistani menu – but it really works – especially if you are in a larger group as there is something for everyone’s taste; both the Italian and Pakistani dishes are of very high caliber.Parking was not a problem – as there are parking spots off street just beside the restaurant, although there is plenty of parking on the street (1 hour b/w 7am and 7pm) which is perfect if you arrive 6pm or later.Oh, if I had one suggestion for the team at Bolan Restaurant – it would be experiment with a couple of fusion Pakistani/Italian dishes on the menu – the Chef there is a magician so would love to try what is conjured up.This restaurant is a long drive for me – but I think it is well worth it and I will be frequently this place a great deal in the future!

I have already reviewed them once.This time we ordered their steaks and we were disappointed !! They took almost 1 hour to serve.The steak were more cooked, although we order welldone but it was overcooked.Also, I would suggest them to add mashed potatoes and grilled veggies on sides. And also, to add more sauces.Try their BBQ platters and biryani !! That’s amazing but I don’t recommend their steaks.
