Excellent food at reasonable prices, and lovely staff. Wifi available for patrons, and the beautiful community gardens are adjacent.

Wasn't open on this day but the garden is absolutely beautiful. Only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday's.

Located in a small, quiet country town with nothing else open on the day, the cafe/restaurant was well presented and nicely decorated with a modern touch to an old world feel. Pleasant indoor and outdoor dining spaces available with a beautiful garden complimenting the outdoor dining area. Lots of local produce and wine on offer for purchase. The menu offered some variety, with hearty breakfast/brunch/lunch options at very reasonable prices. Staff were pleasant, food was tasty, but service on the meals was a little slow and the sourdough accompanying the veggie breakfast was toasted for too long and was crunchy bordering on hard...

Talbot Provedore and Eatery
After the Farmers Market closed it was time for lunch. We didn't have to go far, the 'Provedore & Eatery' being central to the activity in the street outside. Inside it is delightfully furnished giving a pleasant atmosphere; we enjoyed smoked salmon salads, with wine and lager, finishing with excellent coffee. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous 5 course meal here on Saturday night. My wife and I drove 65km from near Beaufort where we were staying on a weekend away from Melbourne and I can honestly say we haven't enjoyed a dining-out experience like that since pre-Covid. The ingredients are locally-sourced, dishes well balanced with some great flavours. Service was excellent and attentive but not intrusive. Had a look at the beautiful garden - next time we'll come for lunch and sit out on the veranda !

Great location, seated on verandah. Wonderful service. Food and drink fantastic but the roast beef was cut with the grain not across the grain and so was a bit 'chewy'. Loved the meal, staff and garden. Back soon.

Enjoyed the ambience, food and wine yesterday. Highly recommend the tasting plate of local produce. Thanks Chris and Jane for a delightful lunch overlooking the garden

Talbot Provedore and Eatery
A warm welcome, friendly prompt table service. The outdoor setting is lovely. You sit under the verandah overlooking the community garden which is full of native plays, cottage shrubs and fruit trees. We had the Providore Big Breakfast and the Veggie Breakfast. Food was fresh and delicious, coffee was hot and just right. Toilets spotless. We were here for our 40th wedding anniversary and it was a lovely start to our day.

One of the best dining experiences ever! The wine list is local and includes beer, ciders and cocktails. Food is local and delirious, service is fabulous, attentive without being intrusive. Value for money - let's just say if you found something like this in the city it'd cost three times the price. Great place
