Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. The complete culinary experience. Where do I begin?! Decor is gorgeous, atmosphere is perfect, food is devine, and wine tastings were spot-on. But the staff really took it to the next level. Loved hearing about the degustation; course-by-course and all the fine details that went into its design. Highlights were meeting the owner, the chef, and the wait staff and enjoying delightful conversation with them all. I can’t wait to come back here for Bastille Day and many more fabulous food events. Hotel Canberra is a gem, an absolute must-visit in Ballarat food scene. I would have taken more photos but I was having way to much fun to be on my phone!

The food and service was amazing I couldn't fault anything they did. Thank you for a great night out, The menu changes weekly with local suppliers which makes it exciting because no matter how many times you go it's always something exciting and different.

Went to The Stables for the first time yesterday for lunch with a friend and it was brilliant. The team are wonderful, friendly humans. They made sure the Buddha bowl was vegan and it was soooo tasty with a great mix of tastes and textures. Loved the whole experience and will be back again for sure. Thank you!

I loved the cheese and meats selection. Not the same limited selections on offer in other places. The wine recommendations were spot on, and it was great to be able to try styles we hadn't tasted before. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Pete and Jigs made us feel very welcome.

Just sublime, the cafe food and coffee is top Melbourne quality with great friendly service!Our accommodation was brilliant, quiet,comfortable and the AC had been turned on for us so the room was lovely and cool for our arrival!Also, the linen was 5 Star Hotel quality!We enjoyed the bar with superb cocktails and funny host! The photos show our room and looking down to the cafe from our room…Definitely a stay we will remember fondly.

Fabulous makeover at this stalwart. The new team have done a sensational job. Cafe renovation and food is superb, imaginative and has a Filipino touch. Their bar, Bobby’s has a great list of interesting craft and artisan beer wine and spirits. The service is outstanding in both venues. A new regular for us for sure. Get in while you can!We’ve been back again, dining twice now at Vesta x Jigs. You’ll struggle to find a better restaurant in Ballarat or surrounds. Attention to detail, food quality and service is second to none. Menu changes every week and it’s been impeccable both times. Can’t wait to go back!

Visited this beautifully renovated hotel for wine & nibbles. The wine list was extensive & featured many local wines. The food, also locally produced, was absolutely delicious. (We had pork crackle bites, roasted almonds, artisan breads, relishes & delicious cheeses). We sat in the quaint beer garden & were catered to our every need by the friendly staff. The breakfast menu looks amazing & there will soon be dinner options as well. I will be coming back to try all of that! The owners have more exciting plans in store for this hotel, I definitely recommend a visit.

We had a fantastic culinary experience. Creative, delicious and very fun. The menu is a contemporary tongue in cheek play on pub classic but delivered in an innovative way. We opted for the 8 course set meal and every single dish was mouthwatering so the match wines were perfect and delivered with passion and knowledge. Great atmosphere, friendly and enthusiastic staff - what more could we have asked for. See you again when in Ballarat. Well worth the trip from Melbourne.
