StrathAyr Instant Lawn

This is the second time I have used this firm. The first time the turf was below average but I thoughtI would give them a second chance. Around half the turf sod was cut way too low resulting in a patch job which I had to over sow to make it look half decent. Bring a landscaper with over 30 years in the business this is easily the worst turf I have ever used or seen. It was a small job at my own place otherwise I would have tipped it. In hindsight I should have sent it back.

I'm always receiving great service from the team regarding any questions or concerns I have. I have used StrathAyr on multiple occasions and regularly speak to Ash who is very knowledgeable and gives you the time to explain things and troubleshoot through any issues or hurdles with the job. Will continue to use regularly.

Unfortunately the turf we ordered was delivered when it was very immature. It was falling apart in clumps- worst on the bottom layers of the pallet. The area of grass which were used the bottom layers for didnt take (About 6sqm - not much )and died despite doing everything we were suppossed to do. I called the day of delivery and discussed with the admin team and was advised to send some photos in. I took photos on the day which were date stamped. As I was renovating a house I forgot to then send the photos untill a few weeks later. I was then told there was nothing that could be done (even though I was only asking for replacement for the roughly 6sqm - not that they even asked me about this) as I had emailed too late. This is disgraceful customer service. The photos were date stamped and clearly show the grass is all macerated and falling apart. I was told the best they could do was to send me grass seed- (with no discussion or conversation about the problems)- which didn't take. I now how to buy more grass for part of the lawn. If you want immature grass from a company that cares about money and not customer service or repeat business then buy your grass from here! If you want good turf and helpful customer service then try somewhere else! Very disappointed.

Really happy with my purchase. Delivered on time and fresh as they said.

Overall we're happy with our experience. The turf (tiftuf) arrived within our expected delivery window, our driver was polite and helpful. Turf was nice and went down fine, but there were a few thin and dried out strips of turf that weren't as nice as the others. Lucky we ordered a couple extra metres, so we used the nicer bits.Update: Five weeks on and the lawn is looking awesome! Very happy with it, see photo attached.

Extremly happy with our lawn and delivered right on schedule. That Radaro tracker thing is amazing, it gives you a live update on exactly when the truck will arrive. Highly recommend this supplier.

Excellent service from customer service and driver. The driver arrived at the appropriate time and delivered the turf in the driveway, as per my request. The turf was also in a great condition, there was a decent amount of soil underneath the turf. I would also like to add that, the IT customer compent from Strath Ayr is excellent. They provide email confirmation of their customer's order and a tracking app that informs their customers (on the day of delivery), how far away the driver is. The interface of their website is user friendly, concise and well developed. It also transends well onto a android phone. I highly recommend this company based on the quality of their customer service (front and back office) and the quality of their turf.
