Star Car Wash - Rhodes Waterside

The wash and vac itself was fine. Results were as expected.But the upselling and attempt to rip off was annoying.I asked for the basic wash and vac which I understood to be $39, then got the upsell. I turned it down, explained that it was just a work vehicle so I didn't need anything too glamorous.When I returned an hour later, they attempted to charge me $57 for the platinum wash. I made it clear that's not what I asked for. Maybe they thought I wouldn't care since it'd be going on the work credit card.They tried to argue that the condition of the car warranted the higher cost. But only after I objected to the price. Not when I arrived to pick up.Honestly, I wouldn't have said the car was that bad. But even if they were right, they ought to have called me to advise that it was going to cost more instead of just hoping I wouldn't check what they were charging. They took down my number when I dropped off the car after all.I won't be back. But to anyone that might use this place, I suggest agreeing firmly on the price before you give them the keys.

The guys took extra care cleaning my car and getting rid of some tough stains. It was also really well cleaned inside as well as the rims. Thanks guys. Will definitely come back.

Dropped my car off at the Rhodes shopping center STAR car wash around 2:30-2:40 (By the escalators, closest to the Coles supermarket) and asked for the Platnium wash. I was told it would only take an hour. Returned around 3:40, the car was brought to me not completely cleaned or vacuumed. The boot and rear seating had not been vacuumed. I pointed it out to the supervisor and they vacuumed it. When I returned home 10 minutes away, I noticed parts of the exterior and interior clean were done very poorly:-The rear lower panel (where the license plate is attached) was not thoroughly scrubbed, leaving dirty streaks running across it including the license plate-Window seal on the exterior (all door windows) had not been wiped or scrubbed, still very visibly caked in grime-Muddy footprint was left on the driver side floor mat-Not all dog hairs were vacuumed from the rear seating-Runoff dirt from the exterior wash had caked inside the boot gap, seal and jambs- The cup holders were not wiped properly and a sticky residue was left underneath the rubber coversOverall, I was left extremely disappointed by the wash service, especially since I paid for the Platinum wash package. Furthermore, I was charged $57 for the platinum wash, when the your website lists it at $55.

Horrible customer service, horrible carwash! I don’t mind paying for a good wash but this is completely unacceptable. My car still had dirt and insect marks more noticeable on the front of the car, the middle console was not cleaned and the car smelt like body odour. I called star carwash and spoke to Sunny who didn’t sound surprised about the complaint and told me to bring it back to see what the problem was as they do not give refunds and wanted to cross check how much I paid to the work being provided. How ridiculous that a company would even accept a job half done when their job is to CLEAN cars. I paid $55 normally $57 but I was given the option to pay $55 if I was to pay in cash. It is so disappointing to pay for a basic service where I could have done a better job myself. I will never go back there and I hope that people read the reviews before booking their car into star carwash Rhodes.

Changed owners, night and day difference. Three weeks ago this place was taken over by new owners and staff. I’ll be coming back did a great job cleaning the daily drive.

AVOID!!!Upon entry, I was immediately proposed with a 'wax/polish' package without even consulting the service in which I required. I was give a 2 hour turn around time. After 2 hours, I was made to wait another 50 minutes. Upon recieving the vehicle, it was still uncleaned. THE SERVICE was also ATROCIOUS. The pictures say it all.

This is how they work for $59Easy money for them.Dont go waste your money. Better pay for the homeless.

They did an amazing job of my car today, got it washed inside and out and it feels like new again!

Terrible service and overpriced. Done the car wash for long years and first time ever the wheels are still dirty and cleaning is not completed. Carwash business and the car is not washed properly. What are selling? Never going back.

Excellent service!I have had the Platinum Wash several times in the last few months. Always perfectly clean and shiny.Very happy with the new management. Friendly and efficient customer service!
