Don't miss this educational fish farm.All the history of the area and more right in Karumba.Free entry with fish feeding times scheduled. Plenty of parking.Awesome food and drinksEasy to kill a couple of hours here!

The Les Wilson Discovery Centre incorporating the tourist info centre is a must do in Karumba. Good interactive display and cinema. Great gifts, good prices. Very interesting tour behind the scenes. A special shout out to Amanda and Bianca who supported me in my hour of need it was very much appreciated. Leanne Q.

The best thing in Karumba. Brilliant facilities, great displays, great Cafe and friendly staff. The guided tour should not be missed. Super informative and feeding the huge barramundi is a blast. Highly recommended

Les Wilson Barramundi Discovery Centre
I must say we were a bit disappointed.For $25 we thought we would see the hatchery and have the process of breeding and growing the fingerlings shown and explained to us.We did see a short video. And feeding the big retired Barra was a great experience but not worth $25 each. The free info and artwork area was interesting but several of the interactive displays didn’t work.Sadly, we feel we wasted our money.

An absolutely fantastic time here. Just very casual, free entry and the option to pay for fish feeding and tours. Took the family and we loved it! A nice little cafe with very friendly staff. Felt very welcomed here. A must when in the Karumba area!

I love informational centers on local wildlife and this is both informational and hands on. The center stocks and breeds healthy little barramundi to release back into the wild to ensure their populations never drop to a concerning level! We opted to feed the fish which was also super fun!

Les Wilson Barramundi Discovery Centre
The family all went out for the barra for the tour on Easter day, and wow was so much fun, all the staff are so fantastic, so nice to see the cafe have Merlo coffee, was beautiful, the tour was a lot of fun and learnt a lot and the highlight was getting to feed the barramundi, was so much fun. The whole family loved it. Again thank you to all the staff who made for a great experience on our holiday.
