Australia Post - Hamilton Central Post Shop

Aus Post, in all honesty are bogus Australia wide. Hamilton is no exception. Us vs them staff mentality, they seem to prefer to complain rather than be humans. Rude oddballs.

I was sending a urgent parcel to the US, waited patiently in line, when it was my turn to be served, the lady behind the counter here gave form with a link code, she said, you must go online and declare what's inside, but I said can't you record it on your computer like always have done instore and give me the a consignment number, she didn't want to listen, just do it, she said and come back, so I wasted my time and managed to send the next day, print it at home, very bad service.This post office needs to serve people in the local area much better than this, what if a elderly person came in and doesn't have a computer or mobile device, the people working behind the counter have a lazy attitude, if its to hard for them they send you away.Lift up your game Aust Post Shop Hamilton.Especially the lady with the accent that wasn't very helpful, maybe she was having a bad day, who knows but lady help the people please next time.Thanks,Tony

Horrible Service. Called up to ask if i needed to book an appt to send my toddlers passport off (i wanted to also pay rush fee). Was told no need and to come anytime.At 10am I waited patiently in line for 20 mins while staff helped others for considerably long periods, only to make it to the front and be told staff were too busy. To either way outside for another 20+ minutes but not be guaranteed to be seen then or go elsewhere. I explained I had done the right thing and called up. Staff didn't care. No apology, they could not care less.

Thank you and kudos to the team at Hamilton Central Post Office. They received a request from me and delivered without a fuss... for which I am extremely grateful. Wishing the team a safe and blessed Christmas and New Year.

Loveliest European blonde lady,Manager has always been brilliant to me and the red haired lady of past so pleasant.However since refurbishment and new staff parcels haven't been found but tracer says the parcels are there.If consent is written for a family member to pick up a parcel on your behalf that I thought should be all required ?Esp when unwell.

I needed to send something, and didn't wait too long before being served. the staff member was efficient and it was easy. they could do with a little bit of a revamp to make the store more warm and inviting.

Turns out because I have a common sir name my parcels can be handed to anyone who comes in. Not sure why people are complaining about ID needing to be checked prior to collection of their goods because clearly the staff at this post office cant be bothered. Meanwhile I am just told to sit back and wait to see if they can track down the person that took my parcel. If they find out who they gave it too they might get back to me. Not like its an integral delivery for my livelihood (it is). The phone operators are about as useful as a brick wall. I doubt very much I will receive an adequate outcome

Is well documented & known in local community that if you want warm helpful & friendly service you go to the Abbott St PO. Bureaucratic muppets on their own power trips for no rhyme or reason will take pride in diminishing your experience. Store is grubby and run down and if not for the Hamilton high density population this place would be shut down. This PO is not worth your time or money, stay clear if you can.
