Sonya Lester has managed my rental property for at least several years now. Property management can be a difficult task. Sonya is always open, pragmatic and helpful. She works through issues as they occur, and finds the best way forward. I highly recommend Sonya to anyone who is looking for a rental property manager.

Guys you need to improve your communications. Owners or for that matter tenants should not have to constantly hound property managers to get information on repairs, quotes, leases etc. This is one of the reasons I have taken my properties away from other Property Management companies.Also, a little tip. Replace whoever it is that answers your office phone. He's probably a nice bloke, but his phone etiquette is bloody appalling and it reflects poorly on the business.

Like alot of the other reviews on here, the communication was very average alot of the time we just simply didnt get a reply. Above all the issues we had renting through guardian, the owners of the property we were renting had to come over to the house at the start to fix up some small issues and they were so embarrassed that the real estate had given the house to us to rent in the state it was in. I wish I could have contacted them in the end to tell them how poor a service they were paying for. We would have continued the rental if real estate was better in the end we couldn't deal with them any more. If your looking to rent your home out re consider this company. You'll be paying for bad service.Continued....Had a friendly call back from the real estate which was not expected, and seems they are working towards improving. Absolutely despicable in the rental department. DO NOT RENT THROUGH THESE GUYS. You well get harassed. If you put in maintenance request they will no only get ignore but your rent is guaranteed to increase until you cannot afford the place. Then you will not get your full bond back no matter the condition of the property.Not only will I never rent through this company. I am also looking to buy a home shortly and will with out a doubt avoid any properties listed by them!RENTERS BEWARE!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and here’s mine! Sonya Lester has been my property manager for many years now. I have even vacated my properties and moved into another property with Sonya. She is very straight to the point but she is also very understanding and does things to the law but will explain them to you and yes there’s been a few issues but as everyone is human and makes mistakes but these are owned and I have appreciated the honesty and have moved on from these. Just remember when reading these bad reviews there is always 2 sides to the story and unfortunately Sonya or other agents don’t get to say her side here but if you follow the guidelines and do what is needed as a tenant you will have no issue.

I have my property managed by guardian and have had nothing but dramas from day one. Being charged for services that didn’t happened (after discussions I was reimbursed). receiving invoices for work done from the previous financial year so I can’t claim the invoice. I call up and just get told “yeah don’t know what happened there”. I will be changing property managers soon. Nothing short of dreadful. Have family that have properties managed by guardian as well and they’re leaving too. Complete incompetence.

In 2017 we invested in a property in Bucasia and chose Mackay Rentals (later Gardian Real Estate) to be our property managers. As we live in Melbourne, it needed a good property manager to look after things for us. We were extremely lucky for the agents to assign Sonya Lucas to be our property manager and we have never regretted the decsion. Sonya has been brilliant and her skills have regularly been on show, as has her professionalism. We have now sold this property and it will be sad to say goodbye to Gardian and especaially Sonya who has become somewhat of a friend. Thanks again Sonya for everything and best wishes for the future and yes, I will annoy you from time to time. I'm happy to recommend Sonya to any investor needing a property manager.
