Southern Highlands Flower Farm
Purchased about a dozen tubers last year. Very small single ones received. I understand size shouldn’t matter however I think only 3 sprouted. Tubers bought from Garden Express and Tesselars were clumps and I certainly had more success plus they refunded some of the failed ones. The constant rain last year may have rotted some in the ground. After placing my order I sent an email as I had missed out on one I was desperate for. Never received a reply in this regard. For others who had a bad season I would recommend you photograph what you’ve received from any supplier, start them in pots that way you can control water and really monitor what you have purchased. This will provide good feedback to growers also.

I purchased a dahlia tuber a few months ago and planted it and it hasn't grown. I also purchased tubers from a different supplier and had no problems with those so I know it's not due to my gardening skills.

Ordered and received 4 tubers. One arrived obviously dodgy. Sent photos immediately to Southern Flower Farm and planted anyway hoping for the best. Unsurprisingly, the 3 healthy tubers sprouted and the dud did not. Sent a further 2 emails over 3 months then resorted to messaging through Instagram. Finally Jen responded and asked me to dig it up and send more photos. Eventually told bad luck, it rotted in the ground. It was dead when it was sent to me with no eyes and no shoots, so of course it rotted... No refund, no apology. Next time I will buy from a big retailer as others have said. 2 stars because the other 3 tubers sprouted but horrendous customer service. Will not use again. As Jen said, just go to another retailer!

Do yourself a favour and visit Jen and her beautiful flower farm.Had a wonderful time on a farm tour, seeing her gorgeous blooms and chatting with like minded people. Jen is very passionate, informative and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit, I'll be back.

WOW, what a beautiful flower farm..... I thoroughly enjoyed my farm tour today. Jenny is so passionate about growing Dahlias and happily shared her knowledge and love of these amazing flowers. The bunch of Dahlias I got to take home are the most beautifully perfect flowers. It was so nice we got to pick the colours and types that we liked to take home. I am looking forward to doing another workshop and learning more about growing these stunning flowers. I highly recommend Southern Highland Flower Farm.

The workshop and farm tour was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. To be able to walk the rows of dahlias and see the huge variety up close was absolutely amazing I could not recommend it highly enough

Southern Highlands Flower Farm
I was lucky to attend the amazing Winter Grow Workshop with Jen and Erica (from Little House on the Dairy). After a farm tour we learned how to propagate seeds and cuttings and divide dahlia tubers. I'll be watching for the next series of workshops!
