Keppel Falls

Great walk! Beautiful falls. Be aware of snakes! We saw a red belly black snake chilling at the side of the path

Beautiful falls, well off the beaten track. Lady Talbot Drive was closed to vehicles so the trek up there was longer than anticipated. Not a lot of shade before you arrive at the Keppel track. The Keppel track is quite overgrown due to the road entry points being closed. We saw a snake during the walk to the falls. I also had a leech incident. I wore shorts but there are brambles and other prickly bushes, my legs were covered in bites (March flies) and scratched. Wear pants! But all worth it to see these beautiful falls. I was out for four hours and didn't see any other groups or people. Reception is also limited. No toilets.

Keppel Falls walk was heaps of fun today and an easy walk from the car park

Keppel Falls is a magnificent cascade. The walk to the falls is 2km (return), an easy to medium standard with minor climbs, it could take you 1 hour to return at a leisurely pace. Views along the way is pretty nice too. Beware of leeches. Wear long pants.

Excellent waterfalls, you can come as close to the water as you please. Easy walk, 2km return. Watch for the snakes as there is no shortage of them there. Road was closed beforehand but it's open now, easy one and do not require 4x4 in dry conditions.

Better than Stevensons and really not hard to get to.

Keppel Falls is a long set of cascades that tumbles down the mountain side in the headwaters of the Taggerty River. I estimate around 150 meters of cascade so in a sense not a waterfall but water falling. About a kilometer to walk to, so 2k all up. Track is mostly level with nothing to challenge the elderly. Track was ploughed up a fair bit on our day, Culprits are lyrebirds, we did spot a couple. Nice bush with plenty of ferns and tree ferns along the way. If you are keen on fungi, big variety all shapes and colors. At the falls there was a platform jutting out over the river so easy to take photos. Well worth the while visiting the falls if you have an hour or two to spare.

If you are adventorous, then this is the place for you. nice greenery and awesome waterfall. not kids friendly. You need to walk through the bush to get near to the waterfalls for a better view. Highly reccmd

Gorgeous falls, and good walking track that was well kept. About 2km return, fairly easy but some part are a bit steep, wet and slippery.In June 2023 the falls were pumping, the river was full, and every thing was magnificently green!
