Burleigh Tropicana Cafe
My friend and I dined in this afternoon. We ordered 1 seafood salad, 2 fisherman’s packs and drinks. Fisherman’s packs were okay. However, we were so disappointed by the salad. The displayed tray of seafood salad has lots of fresh prawns which look so nice and yummy. But it’s not exactly what we were received. There was only ONE prawn. The rest of salad were seafood sticks and celery. That’s really upset us since it wasn’t what we expected for around $14 worth salad (exclude surcharge for holiday). We know prawns are expensive but they should sell what they showed us. If you cannot sell what you show, please do not show that.

Burleigh Tropicana has EXCELLENT burgers ~ great fries and is owned by someone who cares about their customers! I’d have a burger with the lot anytime here ! Usually I’m hard to please with proper burgers but BT know what they’re doing! Uber Eats however DOES NOT !As a local , I’ll continue to support this restaurant! ❕❕❕

I took my nieces and nephews here for lunch and the staff were so patient with the chaos and ordering! The food was generous servings and really delicious.The burgers were especially good, fresh, full of salad and not at all oily.

Decent food at excellent prices, and also very grateful for the amount of choices and the ice cream bar right there. Plus, it’s right next to the park and beach, so get takeout and have a simple, affordable picnic.

Fish was well fried and very soft inside.The only bad thing was the chips and price. Chips was very oily and clearly was fried before, got cold and then fry again, I could tell by the color of it.Very expensive for a small serve and chips quality.Also, they charge for tomato sauce, which makes the meal very dry. The tartar sauce that came inside was horrible

After being let down by our first choice of meal option at another venue we walked past and decided to have a look inside . I managed to see a sign on top of the food display for a grilled salmon meal for $16.90 . It was soo delicous . My salmon was grilled perfectly and it was crispy on both sides even the skin was yumm . You also get a choose a salad of 2 choices . My choice was the pumpkin salad , I would defiantly come back and order this again. However my partner ordered the chicken for a $1 each and a scoop of chips for $4.40 . Chips were good but dont order the chicken. They weren't thoroughly cooked and they were not good . Its situated in a convienant place close by the beach , it does get busy so if you don't like crowded places this ain't for you. I like how open it was but there is alot of foot traffic here
