I visited the shop last night after not being for a few years. The quality of the food was outstanding. I was especially impressed with the batter on the fish. It was light and crispy (very rare in these parts) and stayed that way till I got home to eat it. I'm originally from Grimsby, UK which is considered the home of fish and chips by many so this compliment should not be taken lightly ;) I'll be back!

Awesome fresh chips and potato cake. Reminds me of the way they used to make them years ago. Even got an extra one from the owner. Great place and friendly staff.

Passing through the Mornington Penninsula and we read that Baxter Fish & Chips catered for gluten free. Such a great little find. Many gluten free options cooked separately. Tasty and very generous portions. Thank you so much!

Pretty average chips tbh, soggy with heaps of oil, not the usual crispy chips we like. Portions are insanely small. Not the first time we had a bad batc either.

Lovely people but expensive menu, burgers are more expensive again and made from sausage meat with horrible spices, for me inedible $10+ cheeseburger

Unfortunately no good tonight ..soggy inedible fish & chips - into the bin again ! A month ago .. 4 Stars deelish. A few months ago .. into the bin. Too inconsistent - we won’t be back now which is a shame. We so wanted to support local business too. Sorry.
