Receptionist rude, patronising and demonstrating both a lack of empathy and understanding. Called Riversdale Dermatology immediately after and they were extremely helpful in comparison.

Initially posted a bad review and as a result they reached out to me to chat about it and re-book me in. Much appreciated :) Dr Joy is very knowledgable and helpful.

Poor service, expensive and staff did not follow up on sending out prescriptions for a serious skin infection. I was left several times without access to medication for days when staying on the medication is vital for eradicating infection. Had to make several calls tofollow up prescription, with staff who were rude. Have spent $500 dollars in two weeks and left with out medication and staff did not follow through, don’t bother with this service . A terrible clinic .

I have been sitting on this review for over 6 months… and felt hesitant to post a negative review as I almost never do this - but with it still on my mind and these notes written just after the appointment, here I am finally posting my review.—Last year I visited Kew Dermatology to have my yearly skin check and to discuss my pre existing skin issues.I booked back in April and due to a backlog of appointments I was moved to a different dermatologist and pre-booked this appointment around three months in advance. On the day of my appointment I waited about 30mins over the scheduled time until I was asked to go through, was in the appointment for max 15 minutes, left $250 poorer and pretty upset with the service. To begin with there was no curtain up around the bed so I had to undress and redress in front of the dermatologist - this felt very unprofessional. I haven’t experienced this at a doctors appointment or gyno. Ever. The actual check of my skin took thedermatologist 1-2 minutes - it felt rushed. The dermatologist then proceeded to tell me I had no other options to help my adult acne. And to make me feel like I was wasting her time by even coming in.I have pre-exisiting chronic inflammation in my eyes which means they are super dry - and is the reason I have never tried roaccutane. I also have migraines which means I can’t take the hormonal pill plus I was previously on spironolactone but it made me super dizzy. These comments frustrated her, which I get - I’m coming to her with a problem (my acne) and then saying the three main solutions I can’t take. She dismissed these comments and went on to what felt like belittle me saying things along the lines of “if you refuse to try roaccuane…”. It felt like it was my fault … like I was putting up roadblocks… I was “refusing” the medication options… when in actual fact I’m just seeking her opinion on what to do next. The way she spoke to me was not acceptable. The cherry on top, she drops in that I have rosacea... but no action plan or information around this.I think she could have handled this situation better. If you see no solution from your side, suggest I see someone else. But to leave an appointment feeling hopeless, with no positive pathway and $250 poorer… wasn’t pleasant.I really can’t put into words how the appointment made me feel at the time. It wasn’t just one comment or one moment that made me feel this way… but multiple. I left the appointment on the verge of tears. Two years ago I did also have some complications after a mole removal at Kew Dermatology. They handled this really well. But it was pretty horrific as it was in a private spot and the infection lasted many weeks. Sitting down was even a struggle.Although this experience was horrible I was impressed with how the clinic handled what was their error. But now.. after this experience last year I will not be recommending people attend this dermatology centre and I really hope to never experience an appointment like this again.

Used to get good care but once Peter Sinclair left the new doctors were more concerned with cosmetic treatments. They left stitches in my neck where I had a spot removed so it got infected & caused scarring plus botched another removal leaving an worse scar on my face. Very upset
