Good uni, good range of study spaces although with limited resources by the way of power points and seating. Very helpful staff although expect long waiting times at the tool room (not the fault of staff, just university cost cutting/not employing enough staff)

Was an exciting concept as a university but the education I received was not supportive of developing a career and I would recommend only to someone who has previously developed their skills in the software/practise they want to specialiae in before enrolling. Its very hit and miss but has been working to change and improve.

Irremovable student debt at the cost of your time, sanity and happiness!

I learned a lot coming to UNSW Art and Design. The teachers were really friendly to me. I am a pretty quite person and I don't like socialising much. So I did not get along with many of the students here because I was really shy to talk. But I am who I am because of this UNSW Art and Design.

University of New South Wales Art and Design campus in Paddington is a nice place to study. My son studied there for four years and enjoyed each year. He did wish it was part of the UNSW main campus in Kensington but also liked that it is a specialised school on its own. There is a free shuttle bus that can take you to and from the main campus which isn’t very far. The cafe attached to the university is also great and offers nice food for breakfast or lunch, with friendly service.

After just competing my first year at Art and Design I can definitely recommend. While I can agree the campus can feel isolated from the main campus in Kensington, A&D is full of very interesting people and great opportunities.Subjects wise your first year will give you a taste for what's to come and for the most part are very practical. I will warn some classes will get you doing some VERY arty stuff which may not be everyone's cup of tea. But overall I've enjoyed my time so far

----- two years later ------I think their teaching quality is so so.I guess it's because the easy money from the unstoppable international students like me.Some important course was basically delivered by under-paid doctor candidates, while the famous professors just come to the course twice a semester as a branding asset.I'm sure this tricks the international students well. My wife was one of them.But it's brand-damaging in long run, and in COVID, when there are not much easy money.My wife’s learning experience there was terrible. Partly because of expectation mismatch — she aims at jobs next step while it’s quite “art and exploration”, leaving students much space and little guidance. Great little uni. But wow all the new buildings are a bit aggressive to the senses - it used to be so basic and cosy!!! The ceramic and metal tutors were inspirational and the arty teachers were very passionate. I learnt lots but some lecturers should have been reported and removed because they marked work based on very personal grounds... they were main lecturers which I think in present times would have got them in lots of trouble.

Nice modern and organised establishment. Staff members are always willing to help you and there is an unlimited selection of equipment to borrow for all your art needs. Although it's very little compared to it's big brother, the main campus, UNSW Paddington still gets the job done smoothly and has come a long way from what it was before.
