We selected Stegbar windows and doors because they offered exactly what we wanted in terms of extra wide window frames.Their customer service has been outstanding and they were so quick to lock in a service once the windows and doors were installed. Thank you Stegbar!

!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!Lets start with the quoting experience 2/10 having to chase up everyday for 5 weeks just to receive the quote . The warning signs started at that point. Quote come in and was similar to other companies but I went with the bigger company and from there it went down hill. Once delivered and installed found my sacker door had been designed to stack in the middle of my alfresco area not the end and they had snapped screws in the hinges, Window missing decorative bars, French doors hit on pop rivets at the base and now lock do not close and hits on the closing door, No keys for the windows delivered I had to chase It took them 4 weeks to get a technician out this will be the third time they have been out to repair poor workmanship.If this is not the tell tail sign then good luck!

Poor customer service and a frustrating experience.Delivery of a timber door jamb delayed repeatedly for about a fortnight before finally being delivered to site. 4 months after installation of two timber windows (a $10k expenditure) the on-site servicing has not been completed. Site visits by the technician have been rescheduled with no notice, one time they just didn't show up. We are now rescheduling site visit #5. Windows delivered don't have appropriate hardware that should have been provided during fabrication and require modification on site. Primed windows supplied with rubber seals that strip paint and damage the timber frame of the window when closed.All this hassle and requires a 100% up front payment. I work in the construction industry and can honestly say I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

After waiting 5weeks since installation the missing door lock was finally added by the technician today. Apparently my job was “urgent” but there were “Covid related” delays. The whole experience was slow, with problems even getting a quote - I wanted doubled glazed and the first 2 quotes were for single. The measure and installation team were great, and they pointed out some problems with the doors as they left: like the missing lock, several areas where the rubber seals weren’t seated correctly and the gap where I could see through the frame.All fixed now the technician has been today.

Absolutely hopeless company, product and service. We ordered over $120,000 of double glazed timber French windows for our custom architect designed home. For a product that cost so much, hopeless doesn’t begin to describe the build quality. Most of them don’t open or close properly, some are sealed shut, some are missing rubber seals, some the windows tilt and fall out of their frame and the timber fly screens have a different design to the colonial bars that we paid so much for.For 6 months our builder has been chasing them to attend to correct these issues - finally they attended yesterday after we were allocated a new company rep. They only fixed a few things and ignored the rest - running away after a few hours of work. Assuming they would be true to their word when they said they would be back early next week to fix the rest ? No such luck, after numerous phone calls they tell us ‘May schedule is full’ and will get back to us when they may attend. Mind you this is to just rectify faults with their own poorly installed product of poor quality that should have been delivered as working in the first place.Stay away from this company, unless you want to sink your money and spend months chasing them for barely workable windows. Major regret with going with Stegbar - wished we had chosen another brand of windows.

I would like to commend both Sam and Joe at Stegbar Lansvale for their outstanding service above and beyond the call of duty. Sam's passion and enthusiasm combined with Joe decades of experience equates to a harmonious exceptional customer service team.As part of a renovation project I decided to restore a large number Stegbar Cedar doors, windows and internal sliders to their original stained finish. Installed in the 80's, but along the way they had been painted. I should add 40 years on, all are still in excellent condition and working order. The timber once sanded back and stained is stunning. Simply quality products.Unfortunately during the renovation, misplaced some of the 80's hardware, rollers, tracks... and had exhausted all avenues for replacement. On a whim, as a last ditch effort, I went to Stegbar at Lansvale. I walked in unannounced, hoping at best for a referral to a potential supplier. I was greeted by Sam (sales) whose enthusiasm for the project exceeded mine. Sam obtained the assistance of Joe (40 years at Stegbar). Within 24 hours they had sourced and/or adapted current hardware for me to complete the restoration. I then asked for the bill and I was told, no charge, don't worry about it. Outstanding after sales service, 40 years on.

On 28 July 2020 we paid in full for5 windows and were told by the representative we dealt with that there was a 15 day processing time. This meant that we expected the windows on or about the middle of August. Because of this advice we had our builder remove one of the windows. The windows were not delivered until 1 September, more than two weeks after the anticipated delivery date. Stegbar DID NOT comply with their Terms and Conditions of Purchase. Jeld-Wen Australia Pty Ltd. Purchasing Terms and Conditions dated 26-03-2020 and Footnoted AU V.1 (26-03-2020)4. Title: Delivery..... which reads If Seller does not deliver Products in accordance with the delivery date on the Order

First, the good. The sales rep. at Lansvale was very knowledgeable, & importantly, willing to assist. Many thanks to Lara! This secured the sale. I had spoken with another Stegbar office and the sales team did not know their product, to the point I could not get enough information to finalise the order. Also to Lansvale's credit, the original delivery date was delayed when it was found that the product was damaged, and did not meet internal quality standard (for which I am grateful). Now, the bad.Placing the order required 100% payment up front. This is a definite problem given the subsequent experience. In summary, Stegbar failed on 7 (seven) occasions to deliver the product when they had specified their own delivery dates. COVID reportedly contributed to the delays-reasonable- but Stegbar repeatedly failed to notify about the delivery (either when failed to meet a scheduled delivery, or the day of delivery) -- this despite it being requested and printed 3 times on the final delivery docket. They failed to inform that only 1 of the two products (when it did arrive after 4 reschedules) was to be delivered. The 6th failed delivery date was reportedly due to the glass being broken while loading the truck. When the last of the order was delivered, it was left outside, without either phone call or knock on the door to inform: this was early morning and when sighted and requested, the delivery Staff was polite and willing to bring the product indoors.It took numerous calls to Stegbar to reschedule, and ultimately to press for a resolution. A second person, Lillian, had to physically intercede to get the product finally out the door. It is these two people who have elevated the rating to 2-stars.In summary, Stegbar's back-office admin. systems are inadequate and it is likely that ordering from them will REQUIRE the purchaser's active management in getting it delivered. In future I will be questioning the 100% up-front fee also.

The worst customer service ever. We bought all our doors and windows from Stegbar and spent a mint but going back to get parts for our timber sliding door, the service was awful and still could not get the product we needed even after we repeatedly tried to go in and call multiple times, we got no help at all. i thing it is disgusting how we were treated.
