Had a great experience with the seller agent. However, I was a tenant with the rental agent. Poor service and follow through with request. An example, I had an issue with the gas stove in the apartment I was renting. Sent a request on 21 August for it to be fixed, plumber came to the property and confirmed that a new stove top would need to be installed. Waited until 5 September with no follow up from Nicole, I reached out to her to follow up and she indicated that she was waiting on a quote from the plumber and approval from the owner. During this time I expressed my interesting in buying the apartment that I was renting. This was all organised and I accepted it was unlikely that the stove would be fixed now. However, it was disappointing that it wasn’t completed in a timely manner for what I would consider an essential item and that I had to follow up the request.However, when it came getting my bond back and rent that is owed to me after settlement of the property, I’ve had to follow it up at every point. Nicole has been rude and has made me feel like all these issues are somehow my fault. My latest interaction with her when discussing the rent that is owed to me, she asked me what I wanted, I said that I want the money owed to me to be refunded into my account. Rather than being professional and recognising my concerns, Nicole said “what you want me to pay you out of my own account?”. I thought the solution was clear, McGrath to pay me the money that is owed to me and for McGrath to recoup the money from the previous owner.I would consider myself a good tenant, always ahead in rent. Took good care of the property, which is why I was happy to buy it.With my experience with McGrath as a tenant and if I’m ever in a position to have a rental property, I will not use McGrath or Nicole to manage the property. I would hate to think that any tenant could be treat I was treated and made to feel. The fact that I had to follow up request, rather than the property manager following up request, would suggest that the property isn’t being proactively managed. It wasn’t a pleasant experience and would not want any potential tenants to experience this.

Do not trust McGraths!! I used McGraths for 2 years for my property at Red Hill and they were terrible. They did not do on-site inspections preferring to do “virtual” inspections were the tenant would simply take a video via phone and send it to them. They say the tenant claimed to have COVID three times and rather than reschedule and notify me they did a tele conference call?? And kept the lack of inspection hidden from me. The tenant held up their phone filming the property?? They failed to take money for nearly $2000 of water bills from the bond. The tenant also broke the door on a brand new stove and left it filthy and McGraths asked me to waive the cleaningq bill and fees in the stove. The did not charge the tenant for the damage and when I complained they said she will send a cheque for $150?? Due to the lack of on-site inspections the drains filled with leaves and water was running into the house down walls which the tenant ignored preferring to have no on-site inspections. I would not trust McGraths to look after a gold fish bowl!! I have another dozen examples of their mismanagement. I spent a month repairing house once I got tenant out.

We have recently moved the management of our units to McGrath property management. Kayla and Katelin have been outstanding with the transition. Their professional, prompt responses and friendly manner made us feel confident we had made the right decision for the management change. We were also impressed with the advice given and the attention to detail in of the exit inspection and prompt re-rental of one of the units. I can highly recommend them as they provide a superior service.

Jacob Beattie has been exceptional in his communication, from getting our property ready for rental, finding the right tenants, to organising tradies quickly to fix up issues afterwards. We can't thank him enough for his responsiveness, communication style and professionalism.

Nicole Geissler from McGrath realestate has been my property manager at the apartment I live in for over a year. I can’t recommend or thank her enough. Renting and moving is typically stressful but Nicole spared no effort in ensuring it was a total breeze. This was the first property I rented alone so I had a few questions and needed some help along the way and it was never too much trouble for her and she always got back to me immediately (please take more time off Nicole lol).During the floods and extreme weather events her and her team even phoned me to make sure I was okay and if there was anything unsafe at the property that needed attention. I was really taken back by this gesture.During my tenancy, I’ve accidentally locked myself out …more than once… So I was prepared for the tone that property managers usually like to use on forgetful tenants like me. Well… turns out, shes nothing like other property managers! She made herself available every time to get me back into the apartment as soon as possible.Overall she’s kind, helpful and compassionate. It really made my tenancy stress free and welcoming.Nicole, thank you so much for your kindness and professionalism. You’re a freakin superstar!

We have had a fantastic experience renting our house with Kayla Johnson so far. Several other rental agencies gave us rent appraisals for lower amounts, but Kayla gave us an ambitious estimate and backed herself to find a tenant in that range. We were hesitant but took the leap of faith and she secured a tenant at the top of the range within a weekend.She has provided prompt responses and has been very transparent and efficient in all our dealings. Highly recommend.

I had an exceptional experience of knowledge and honesty from this gentleman Ryan G that showed us around a property. Unfortunately we didn’t get it but he assured us he will find some thing better and guess what he did! Never thought I would say this!: But what a true professional real estate agent. Thanks Ryan

Nicole Geissler has been our property manager for roughly the last year. Nicole has been the best property manager we’ve dealt with by far. We’ve really appreciated how helpful and prompt she has been with any concerns or issues we’ve raised. As a renter it can be time consuming and stressful when trying to get issues addressed and resolved by owners, Nicole however has been able to help us reach outcomes quickly and always keeps us updated. You can tell that she cares and wants to achieve a desired outcome for all parties.

Jacob has been nothing but prompt, professional and delightful to deal with. As a tenant sometimes you get forgotten about, I have been blown away by the treatment from Jacob at McGrath Real Estate new farm. Right from the get go I have had quick replies, and know exactly where we stand with the application right through to putting in for service requests. I also have to mention that the “service request set up” for tenants is so easy. It’s all done online through a link and the Tradies always turn up exactly when the app says they will. Jacobs prompt with the email replies and always makes us feel comfortable and responds quickly with the landlord so we are all kept in the loop. Thank you so much for looking after us Jacob. A++
