After a bit of confusion about repair and warranty I ended up speaking to Tamara regarding fixing my mother's watch. She took the time and effort to sort out the repair with minimal fuss. The repair did take some time but that was because the parts had to be ordered in and I was informed of this from the beginning. The repair centre kept me up to date with the progress via email and my mother is now delighted to have her watch back. Thanks!

I received a lovely Citizen watch as a birthday gift on April 22. It stopped after 3 days, so I took it back the the retailer under warranty on May 2. I received a call after 6 weeks quoting me an $80 repair fee. I have heard nothing since, so moving past frustrated to angry. I'll never buy Citizen again. Give me a Seiko any day

Extremely disappointed with the warrantee. My watch stopped working after about 18 months. For citizen to change the battery of a $150 watch they charge between $50-100 and it takes around 5 weeks. My husband changed the battery for $2 but it still didn't work. I sent it back to citizen as they offer a 5 year warrantee. Was told the coil was broken and because it was opened by an unauthorized person, this conveniently voids the warrantee and they quoted me $180 to repair my $150 watch. How is this even possible? Firstly, who is happy to send their expensive watch away for 5 weeks for a battery change? Secondly, how do you justify charging $50-100 to change a battery that costs $2? Thirdly, how can do you justify voiding a warrantee because you didn't con them into emptying their bank account for a battery change? Shame on you citizen. I will never buy another citizen product again. I have $7 dollar watches that are more than 10 years old that are still going strong despite my husband's apparently clumsy hands replacing their batteries multiple times. Cheaper watches seem to be much more robust than your fragile citizen watches. Disappointing.

Hello, I'm looking for a shop which I can find the most kind of your watches. I checked David Jones and Myer but there are not many citizen in there. So do you have an retail shop in Sydney and could you give me the address. I don't believe in DJ AND M because I had a bad experience before. Therefore, I prefer but one in your retailer shop.

Easily the WORST after sales service i have seen to date! It took 5 weeks to be quoted on repairs and 11 weeks in total for completion. Frustration is a nice way of explaining what i felt dealing with head office and authorised dealer!I was given numerous completion dates which where never met, passed around the office when trying to enquire, handed the wrong watch and charged a fortune.Knowing now the lack of after sales service Citizen provide, i will never purchase another one of their watches again!

Absolutely pathetic, we don't make any parts for your watch from 2002 so it's no longer serviced. Can we sell you a new one? How about NO!Simply don't buy citizen, their after sales service is once again pathetic

A simple positive review. I had a bad experience with a local watch retailer and when I spoke to Citizen, they helped me out and resolved the issue much faster than I thought they would. Thanks for your help guys, most appreciated.

Contacted the customer service centre on a Sunday afternoon. Didn't expect a reply but to my surprise Tommy the customer service manager contacted me straight away. I explained the issue and he patiently explained how to resolve it. Turns out it was a silly error on my part in not pushing the crown in fully. He was courteous friendly and prompt and I was impressed with the service. Keep up the great work!

On 4/6/18 I purchased a Citizen eco divers watch as a special treat for my retirement expecting a reasonable amount of time without trouble.About a month ago the plastic band split although it had never been in the water. Took it back to retailer who advised me it would be 3 months until a replacement band is available at a cost of $95 fitted. After contacting Citizen watches in Sydney & speaking to some office staff I was contacted very promptly by their manager Tommy, who confirmed the waiting time & just said that was the situation & basically tough luck'

I have a Citizen watch which I purchased about 4 years ago. It needed a new battery (apparently a solar powered one, even though the watch doesn't have a solar panel) and I contacted Citizen who were less than helpful with trying to find a solution for me - for something as simple as a battery change.Apparently their store in Chatswood is the only place in Sydney that can change the batteries for their watches (SUPER CONVENIENT) and due to current COVID restrictions I'd need to mail in my watch. They also couldn't quote me a price or give me ANY rough estimate about the potential cost. For a battery change. It's super complex, I know. I was directed to their website where I had to put in information from the back case of the watch and guess what - none of the information I entered was recognised (after checking it and re-entering it multiple times). It's a legit Citizen watch as I bought it from a Citizen store too. After a phone call with someone who clearly couldn't care less about customer service and would give the shortest answer possible, I'm glad that I only own one Citizen watch. If they're this much of a pain in the backside to deal with, I certainly won't be buying another one. I'd personally recommend buying Tissot in future (I have 5 and they're amazing compared to this low brand)UPDATE: So apparently my watch is fine and doesn't need a new battery after all. As it's an eco drive, and because I haven't worn it in over a year, it wasn't charging as it should (me not knowing the full specs of the product I purchased and how it works is my fault). On a friends advice, I left it in direct sunlight for a morning and now it's working again as normal. A few basic questions from the person I spoke to at Citizen could've resolved this issue when I told them I needed a new battery for my eco drive watch (oh, how long have you had it, do you wear it regularly, does it get enough direct sunlight? Have you tried leaving it in the sun for a day?) but again, the person I spoke to on the phone had neither the knowledge of their product or the desire to deal with customers. Would still recommend buying a Tissot.
