Diplomat Hotel Alice Springs

No wine glasses, no instruction how to use the air conditioning unit ( quite complicated)Instructions about safety of property and yet the wire screen door is broken and there is no safe. There were hardly any car spaces.Property expensive, clean, no choices of Netflix or movie channels.

Went for lunch, but only had limited menu due to the number of cooks.Rooms are good from past experience.Location great. Everything in short walking distance.

This place was amazing to stay at secure and the rooms are great. The only issue we had was the location while trying to sleep the homeless people were having a party and it went all night making it a rough night between yelling,music and police sirens. But the location is also super handy to walk to the shops during the day. The tavern attached to the hotel is amazing also.

Horrible place.. don’t ever think about staying here.. very unsafe.. not enough security. I was broken into one night (pretty sure I locked the doors as I’m very vigilant especially in alice) to find a young guy walking out of my room at 4am.. and found he had taken my bag wity my car keys (luckily car was in community however I had to pay a locksmith to open my car and get new keys costing 4000 dollars). Management was nice to move me to another room however it took a push to get reimbursed one nights accomodation as compensation..The only pros.. most rooms very clean and good looking (others old ahd needing attention) and being central in town .

Stayed here several times over last 6 years without any problems. Rooms are clean and accessible, staff are good. Bar is ok and food very good.

Off street parking for guests.Reasonably priced rooms, with all the essentials.Comfortable beds and decent size bathroom - with a proper shower (not a bath-shower)The bar and dining area is below and can be loud on occasions so if you want a quiet room make sure you reserve one in one of the two buildings separated from the pub.

Carpet in the room had fleas. Shower was uncleaned in what looked like months. Fridge didn't even shut because of the build up of ice in the freezer section.Bed was comfy though.

I have been coming to Diplomat for years. This time it was quite shocking: bathroom in bad shape, shower door doesn't close properly, toilet way too old, soap dispenser is empty. Room: bed ok, wardrobe stuffed with pillows and ironing board, hardly any place to hang clothes. Room: curtains dirty and torn, wall paint chipped. Noisy night with fire alarm in room going off at 3am for no reason for 10 minutes..... breakfast room ok, pub no class whatsoever, food was ok though. Personnel at front desk very kind, parking is good.Please, Diplomat, become real diplomatic again, as you were in the past, thank you! Mariana

It's a nice, central location but the room had a lot of issues. There was mould in the bath tub and coming from the shower head, the body wash bottle was empty when I arrived and was not refilled in the three days I stayed there, the pipes were shaking and making a weird noise, and when I told reception, they came and checked but did nothing to resolve the issue. Also, the fly wire door wouldn't shut properly

Always request to stay here when I'm down for a work trip, comfy room, great pub/restaurant right out front, good coffee and breakfast, staff is so friendly and helpful. Very safe and quiet
