Stegbar Rowville

Pretty disappointing they replaced my sliding door in 2009 I contacted them in April then again this month. Promised a quote but it never happened not even a phone call. Wouldn't waste my time with them again. Diana Cripps

I contacted them to have my windows replaced via email. I was contacted the next day by the receptionist who said that a salesperson would call me back. After 2 weeks of NO contact, I called the receptionist back and she said she would follow it up.Still waiting 4 weeks on.It’s no wonder they have a Google review score of 2.7 stars.Not even close to good enough.

Whilst we are happy with the windows the installation process has been a shambles. The installation was meant to be completed in a few days in late February however a number of the required materials weren't delivered meaning the installer needed to come back on multiple occasions to try and finish the job.Even worse the fly screens for our sliding door were damaged during delivery (the delivery guys dropped them when unloading!) and had to be replaced. The replacement screens have finally been delivered but need to be installed. We were given a due date for installation but no one turned up on the day (resulting in a lost day of wages for me as I took the day off work so someone was home to let them in!)We have now been told that the our job has been transferred to the warranty department at Stegbar and that the installation of the fly screens will not occur for another month. This is clearly unacceptable....over two months to install five windows and a sliding door!!!UPDATE.....3 MayStegbar tradesman finally attended my property last week to install the outstanding flyscreens. Unfortunately the fly screens won't latch shut and paint has been chipped during the installation process (photo attached).I give up. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere if you are looking for a professional company to install windows and doors at your house!!!!

I had my wardrobe installed today, the person who came to do the job was very punctual and did a fantastic job. I am very pleased with the completed work and it only took him3/12 hours.P

Really shocked that so many people wrote a low rating. I had a very good experience with stegbar installing sliding mirror. William came and measured and Jason came and installed it perfectly. The female staff member I spoke to in the office to organise dates was ask fantastic. Great experience with a 2 week turn around time.

Frameless door shower units provided by Stegbar are dangerous and the semi frameless is an inferior product.We purchased a frameless shower from Stegbar. It looked beautiful but please beware of the safety issues it has especially for young children. These frameless shower doors are incredibly heavy and swing hard and fast.As shown in the attached videos, after a near miss with my children - when I used a fridge hard carrot it completely sheared it straight off. Listen to the noise it makes, it slices without any effort. Can you imagine what this would do to fingers that were accidently in the door frame? Look at the force it moves when gently let go. Compare it to the video of my old framed shower, which as you can see barely touches the carrot.As such I contacted Stegbar as I believe this product is not fit for purpose, nor is it a safe product that should be available.What were your immediate thoughts when you heard the sound of that carrot being ripped apart? Everyone I have shown have gasped. Even a sales person in Stegbar itself was shocked.Stegbar don't care. In fact two employees of Stegbar stated that until it has injured someone, it isn't a problem. Stegbar are aware of this safety issue.I will not take risks and at my own expense had the Stegbar frameless shower screen replaced with a Stegbar semi frameless shower screen. Honestly I wish I'd just gone elsewhere.My semi frameless shower screen slaps the two pieces of glass together (also in the video below). I've had Stegbar return to inspect but they said this is normal and it's because we chose a 2100mm shower screen. A standard option from their range.I saw in other comments that Jeldwen tell you to contact them on their email address. I tried that, wondering if I'd get someone who cares that wasn't at the local location. Nope, they just pass your details to the local office who then followed up with me who simply kept apologising for 'How I felt' despite the complaint being nothing to do with my feelings and all to do with the unsafe product.So sure, everyone knows the Stegbar brand, but I'd trust those ratings they are getting online. They are a large uncaring conglomerate and if you go ahead and later have an injury because of this product, it wasn't because they weren't aware it could happen.

Terrible customer service - I have had 3 windows installed, the lead up to the install we had zero communication from stegbar regarding an install date until a week prior to the install day. For people who don’t work from home, this is unacceptable. Prior to this the install date changed on us, meaning a month delay. Lastly, the installers left food scraps, chicken bones and rubbish in my property upon finishing the job. Stegbar are yet to reply to my formal compliant via email - it’s been over 3 weeks. A company that takes 0 responsibility, throughout the 4 months dealing with them, not once did stegbar return my calls. Poor customer service, incredibly disappointing

Wonderful after service given for some windows purchased thirty years ago. Lovely team from front desk to factory.
