Thankyou so much to Angela and all the staff who recently hosted our Wedding. Angela (the event manager) had everything organized and coordinated with the Bridgewater team/staff and outside businesses to ensure that our vision of the night was exactly what we discussed. Everything was superb. The staff were professional, the sommelier matched the wine to our menu selection - which was noted by our guests, nothing was too much trouble for the wait staff - they read the room perfectly. All of the dietary requirements were met for each of our guests and the food was not only picture perfect it was so delicious that another venue manager (who was a guest from Melbourne) praised to the highest level, the taste of ingredients used in the dishes, the freshness and presentation. The night ran so smoothly and we are forever grateful to have such a dedicated and talented venue in Townsville.

Had dinner here tonight after a recommendation from a colleague and loved absolutely everything about this place. We were seated by a large window allowing us to take in the gorgeous water views. The menu offered a range of exceptional choices and plate sizes were surprisingly generous. Dishes were adventurous with textures, colour, and flavours working beautifully and in concert. In addition, service received was excellent - and especially so from our wonderful waiter David who was attentive and knowledgeable about all the dishes on offer- which is just what is needed when trying to select from so many outstanding choices. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Townsville and can certainly recommend this fabulous restaurant to others.

Anna the waitress who looked after us was second to none. Her knowledge of the wines, pronunciation of the names, attentiveness, personability and professionalism reinstated my faith in the high end restaurant experience. She asked our names, remembered them, somehow knew the wines were getting uncomfortably low on their fill and had a spectacular knack for timing and presence. Bridgewater surpassed our expectations and some. Thank you for the delightful evening and please give this girl a raise.

Went to the wine bar for dinner on a Saturday night with 5 other friends. Ordered a selection of cocktails and drinks and entrees and mains. A portion of the drinks came out and some of the entrees. A main unexpectedly came out while we were still waiting for entrees and some of the drinks. We eventually asked the waiting staff to take the main back to the kitchen until all the drinks and entrees had come out for it to come out with the other mains. After an hour of waiting we asked the waiter where our main dishes were and the remaining entrees. They explained that it was busy upstairs, so even though we were paying the same price for food as the upstairs restaurant, we were getting substandard service. When our mains and the remaining entrees came out they had lost one of the main orders and then said that it would be another 30 mins without any compensation (complimentary coffee etc). We cancelled that meal and they graciously offered to refund us the meal that we never received! Overall, the waiting was terrible: plonking drinks that belonged to one person down the other end of the table rather than placing it near them. The whole place needs a review of table service OR if you are unable to appropriately service the tables in the wine bar perhaps you should not be offering food service to these tables. The food was delicious but the service terrible. This is a such a shame!

Had dinner there mid-week recently. Meal was lovely and service was great. For 2 x starters, 2 x mains, 2x cocktails and 2x wines the cost was $200. Not cheap but certainly not outlandish. Staff were accommodating of a food allergy.

My partner and I came here for our anniversary.The customer service was exceptional.The mocktail was amazing so pretty with the edible flowers.The king fish & salmon sashimi was so fresh full of flavour and presented beautifully.The calamari was one of the best I've had since living here the kimchi was delicious.My partner had the Kimberley rump he loved it cooked perfectly Soft buttery meat.I had the 36° cold smoked rib fillet this was such a beautiful piece of meat so tender med rare and perfectly cooked.For dessert we shared the Melkert- South African milk tart this was beautiful soft silky and smooth.I would highly recommend coming here next time we come back we're going to try the bar downstairs.

Very delicious meals. This is my second time coming here now. The first time the service was amazing and the food was quick to be served. This is the second time and once again the service was absolutely the best. The staff were very helpful and always made sure we had water in our glasses. The chefs did an amazing job preparing both the starter meals along with the main meals. It’s a perfect place for a wedding reception or a date night with your partner.

Great view, amazing cocktails, fantastic food, and professional service. The staff were delightful, and really making an effort to stay COVID-safe (cleaning tables, chairs, etc). 10/10 experience, definitely book dinner here!

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to in Townsville with incredible staff and innovative food. I had the cured coral trout as my entree, and it was beautifully presented. Loved my main which was a duck with a lot of flavours and textures. And finally the desserts were all fantastic. We also ordered a number of sides and every one was amazing. Can’t wait to return.
