Leongatha Motel

I am absolutely DISGUSTED to hear how my mother was treated over the weekend by the staff at the Leongatha Motel. My mother stayed here due to my brother racing motorcross in the area, so it was just a short 2 night stay. When checking out, the Lady told my mum that she will be charged an extra $60 due to ruining their towels with “hair dye”. Mum tried to convince the lady that she didn’t come to the motel to “dye” her hair… The lady spoke to my mum with such disrespect and was so rude to her.To the point where my mother was extremely upset and crying and still trying to convince the lady that she hadn’t been dying her hair… to the point where mum took off her head scarf and revealed her bald head due to brain cancer.With the lady showing NO sympathy what so ever, still continued to charge her the $60 and didn’t even apologize.There is also dogs in the kitchen where the meals are cooked.This place sounds revolting. Do not pay to get treated like this. Disgusting customer service.

Wow. Where do I start! The rooms are very old fashioned but a lovely room overall - however the room I stayed was really small and did not accommodate for kids. The shower was horrible unless you like a dribble ! And you have NO DOONA!!! yes you heard me right, no doona! you get 2 sheets and blanket thing. You have no eating items (plates, knife, forks, etc) and everything in the bar fridge has been left in the heat and then refrigerated and then left in the heat again and then refrigerated god knows how many times!!!. Next was the lady at the reception: I have NEVER EVER met someone that is so horrible, inconsiderate and rude. 1stly she expected my husband and his mate to move my car (they both had alcohol in their hand) I was inside changing my son who had a dirty nappy (hes 1) when she come over and quite abruptly told him to move the car over hearing this I had my keys ready. I finished changing his nappy to find her back outside and I quote look for the 3rd time I wont tell you again. Move your car or you can vacate the room ". One I was doing it two you didnt say it was URGENT as their was NO ONE else in the car park nor was there for the next two days. My next encounter with her was when my son threw up over the sheets. When I went to reception to ask for more sheets I got told in not so many words "it's not my problem get lost" she had no intentions on giving me a clean sheet for the bed until I got a firmer voice and said "you cant expect me to sleep In sheets with vomit she told me "house keeping doesnt come until 8.30am and she has nothing she can give me" finally she gave me some sheets in her own time as she clearly prioritises herself over her customers. My last encounter was to drop the key back

basic but good would definitely stay there again

Stayed at this motel on a business trip to Leongatha and found the lady on reception to be polite and helpful.Although on the small side the rooms had recently been refurbished, were well furnished (had a couch to sit on not just the bed) with a very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. The shower was a little tricky to adjust but there was plenty of hot water. Some nice touches that I would not expect in a motel at this level such as a mini bar, bath robes provided and a toaster and microwave in the room. Also a large screen television and reverse cycle heating/cooling which warmed the room quickly.Was it the Sofitel - No. Would I stay again or recommend - Definitely.

No air con in the bedroom for 80 dollars. Tiny tv. No shampoo. Shower had no pressure and only ran hot or cold. I am 6 foot but my toes extended beyond the bed. The fridge was noisy when it ran and light came in through the window above the door at night. Manager has aggression problems. Simply asked for more quiet room and started interrogating me about having no fixed address even though he had my credit card, then wouldn't believe the photo on my licence was myself. Asked me how i would feel if he came to my house to stay and wouldn't say what his address was; even though i told him i didn't didn't have one. Fair squeeze of the tomato sauce bottle thanks. Went away feeling like i was a criminal. The guy seems nice enough but shouldn't be in this industry if he is so paranoid. Go on a holiday to feel good not to have people make you feel bad.

The showers have low pressure, book before 8 pm or no room. Other than that it's a good workers motel.

After reading reviews i thought i would try to put to rest some of the bad reviews we had read. To be honest, we booked the motel as we were staying there at the last minute to work in a neighbouring town's festival, so without looking at reviews prior we were on our way to spend 3 days there and i started reading them and were beginning to worry...This review is about our experience"...* The owner was extremely accommodating to my initial call ( i had called a few times as i was trying to organise the weekend and work ) to book the room and was never rude

Bad smell in reception area (dog) but room clean and comfortable.

An older style motel with really comfy beds. Well equipped mini bar and larger than normal rooms - also in a quiet part of town. I will stay here again.
