I would highly recommend James, The Dog Mechanic to anyone who is looking for a dog trainer and/or walker.I recently broke my foot so we arranged for James to take Dash on regular beach walks. Dash fell in love with him immediately and would sit eagerly awaiting his arrival.James’ vast knowledge and deep understanding of canines meant Dash was matched up with other compatible dogs to run and play with and I always felt very comfortable that Dash was in safe hands.

Highly recommend! James has transformed our highly reactive Aussie Shepherd!Gustavo (our dog) was at the point where I couldn't walk him because he would turn into a banshee at the sight of another dog, but for example, I just went for a walk, saw 5 dogs along the way and only had minimal reaction from him. He's so much calmer, will now sniff things instead of constantly looking for threats and I'm more relaxed knowing I can walk without potentially having my shoulder ripped off!

James is a passionate dog lover! He is informative, approachable and easy to talk to. My American staffy rescue has come a long way thanks to the Dog Mechanic himself. Highly recommend

I have no experience training a puppy. When I found the dog mechanic I had his professional support from the beginning.James has been guiding and helping my family train our puppy Xena from 8 weeks old. We have been following and practising his knowledge for 3 months now and our puppy has definately achieved many training goals with ease.James's knowledge and passion for dogs truly shows when he is working with our pup! Making it so easy for us to replicate the exercises on our own.Xena is 19 weeks old and already walks exceptionally well for her age, and could not have been possible without the dog mechanics teaching.Thankyou so much, we are looking for forward to the continued support and training!

We love The Dog Mechanic. James takes our dog (a relatively crazy Labrador) twice a week and there’s nobody she loves to see more. He trains her, walks her, goes swimming with her (despite her raptor-clawed paddling) and has matched her up with another lab who’s quickly become her bff. James is also just a good guy.Would give 6 out of 5 stars — 1 extra for the swimming scratches and any future barking-related hearing loss.

James is awesome and has really helped us get on the right path with our nervous and reactive dog Dusty. His knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour is incredible and his confident and calm approach has been invaluable to both Dusty and us. We couldn’t recommend James more highly!
