Add-Style Home Additions

Add Style have done an amazing first floor addition and new roof for our deck for us, and we couldn’t be happier! Add Style were great from the start and helped us not only with planning our upstairs with a design that we love, but also including on our plans future renovation plans for our downstairs.We’ve been really impressed with how friendly, considerate and hard working the Add Style team have been throughout the building process. We’ve also appreciated Add Style’s strong communication throughout the process. It’s not easy living through a renovation, but the team always made sure we were comfortable. A huge thanks in particular to our Project Manager, Shane, who always went above and beyond to ensure we were on track, on time and happy with everything. Thanks Add Style - you come highly recommended!

We couldn’t be happier with our addition. All the team at Add Style have been so supportive to us through this process. They were responsive at any time of the day we needed them and the quality of the build is amazing. I would hesitate in recommending Add Style to anyone! We built with addstyle about 15+ years ago we are having leaks and problems now. Our builder has had a look and you guys left rubbish used inferior products he couldn’t believe it. Absolute joke. Would not recommend. We also had insulation on our roof just left rolled up.

Addstyle were fantastic to deal with throughout our second-level extension. The design was well thought-out and showed an understanding and respect for our needs and budget. Their team behaved like absolute gentlemen onsite, always friendly and leaving the place tidy at the end of each day. It was a tough gig taking the roof off when we were getting 100m of rain a day at one point but they manage it well. We're very grateful for the service experience and happy with our updated home. We recently completed an Add Style build and are really happy with the process and craftsmanship.Marcus Betts, Jarrad Roach, and Tim Van Den Bosch were very professional and hard working, and have great attention to detail.Even through La Nina Jarrad manged to keep the job moving, and Tim did a great job in getting the project over the line.

I engaged Add Style for an upstairs addition of my house. The price was reasonable and they could complete the job in time. However, the workmanship was TERRIBLE! There are numerous issues with Add style's works, ranging from major structural flaws to small problems such as gaps between eaves and rafters. We wouldn’t have been able to discover all these problems if we did not engage with other builders and trades for the downstairs works. For example, three steel beams supporting the entire upstairs structures were placed incorrectly. This major problem was only revealed after we removed the ceilings and walls as part of our downstairs work. Yes, Addstyle “fixed” the structure problems after we insisted a fair rectification through the structure engineer. However, since the entire upstairs was done when this issue revealed, the result of Add Style’s fix required us to change the structure of the downstairs work, which of course, caused us to pay more to the downstairs builder. The other example is that when we called in painters to paint the external wall for downstairs, painters noticed that the gap between timbers connecting downstairs and upstairs were just too big to be covered by filler. There are numerous problems with the works done by Add Style. I wanted to share a few photos here. The first two are the areas where Add Style placed the steel beams. Even for someone like me without any experience of building, I feel how dangerous it is! The last photo is the photo of the areas connecting upstairs and downstairs. As simple as it shows, there is just a missing part! We have continued to find problems like these around the house. But if you don’t do anything major for downstairs and external, you probably wouldn’t have chance to reveal the flaws! As an extremely disappointed client of Add Style, I hope nobody else needs to go through the emotional agony that I have had with Add Style! My last words – avoid this company!

I'm very happy with the quality of workmanship done by Addstyle. Tim V.D. Bosch was great to work with during the construction phase. The design phase was quite slow, but it was busy times for everyone at that stage. If you're on a super tight budget, keep in mind that before Addstyle start and once they finish, there will invariably be a tonne of other expenses like maybe some consultants & finishing the floors & painting. All in all I'd recommend them. Very happy with our 2nd story addition.

We have just completed a first floor addition with Add Style on the Northern Beaches and have a great experience from beginning to end. Our Architect Cam produced by far the best designs of the 3 providers we looked at and was a pleasure to deal with. At no stage did we feel pressured to sign, and we felt listened to and very comfortable asking questions. A big thanks to Tim who managed the project smoothly, calmly and dealt with any challenges with ease. Thanks also to Gabrielle who managed admin and invoicing efficiently.
