Australia Post - Tarneit Post Shop

went there to get passport photo taken for my 3 month old. At the counter the lady mentioned that they wont take passport photo for babies who are less than 6 months old. I don't think this age limit is mentioned anywhere in Aus post website. At-least the post office should have put a note at the front mentioning the same so that people wont waste their time standing in the queue

Arrived at 4:20 long queue as usual. Got to the assistant at 4:40. She then refused to process my application for ID because it’s 4:30. It’s open till 5pm, they should either change their operating hours or process anything till 5pm.

Very disappointed with Sevice. I went to this post office to collect a parcel on a Saturday . Waited 30 minutes and they still couldn’t find it. Couldn’t get there during the week due to my work hours. They called me to notify it was there but forgot to give mum the card and sign it. I sent a picture but they wouldn’t let her collect and they told her there was no way I waited for 30 mins ( which I did ) . They got an urgent need to collect card in the mail. I eventually got back there on the Saturday and was able to collect but again they took they time asking me how big was the parcel and is this the only address it would have gone to . Very disappointed and there no apology for this poor service.

The lady who is on the counter is very very rude. The customer service is next to none. She looks to be aged lady and doesnt care about customers. I had send international post and only documents. The express international post did say it sends it Asia Pacific region. I am waiting in long queue and then my turn comes and she tells me they dont express post it and tore the express post and told me it is only DHL or normal post which will take 3 weeks and fill up the post again. If you dont send it to Asia Pacific region then dont mention it.She told me to fill the details again and wait in long queue again.What a poor service this auspost has. Never going back. This lady I think is an owner should be removed from this shop.I would have given 0 stars for rude and poor customer service.

Staff very friendly but they cannot handle load with passport photos. Shouldn’t have to wait 20+ minutes in line to send a package. No problems with the staff but due to sizing and passports the place is a logistical nightmare.

One of the Woman who works behind the counter, has no clue whatsoeverCame to drop a prepaid parcel she wouldn’t except on top of that. She wasn’t making any sense of what she was saying.Drove to another post office they excepted the parcel without any nonsense.Another time came here for identity. Check woman had a bad attitude and again, no clue they just look at each other, unsure of what they’re doing.

So this has happened twice. I had pre purchased international express post envelope. Each time I was advised by the staff that they cannot accept those as they were old ones and they are unable to scan them forcing me to purchase a new one for $30. I want to know where does it say on their envelopes or their website that the envelopes expire after a certain date. This happened again today even when the envelope was only a few months old. Extremely Poor service

Customer service is terrible. I was specifically told by a staff member that I didn't have to wait in line to simply drop off parcels if they had been prepaid and no receipt was required and to just go to the counter. But EVERY time I do so I'm treated rudely. Today a staff member told me she was too busy with a passport application and to go line up. Mind you the line is always out the door and round the corner because all they focus on is passport applications. Won't be wasting my time going there again because other local post offices have much better customer service.

Let me be clear, this post office is no way a 5* post office but I have given it a 5* to compensate all other 1*/bad reviews that other people have given unnecessarily. Today was my first visit here and naturally the line was outside the shop at peak hour, though there was at least 10/12 people in front of me but I had to wait in the line only for 10 minutes. So most of the people were served within a minute. The staff were professional and quick to serve. Its not their fault that the demand is overwhelmingly high in this location. They need a bigger post office with more staff.

Just queued for an hour to buy an envelope because there are so many people with passport applications. The queue runs out of the shop into the shopping centre EVERY DAY. I made a polite suggestion to have a dedicated queue for passport applications so that everyone else isn't having to wait unnecessarily and was verbally abused by another member of staff, and told to go to another post office. Don't worry nasty woman, I won't come to your shop ever again. I have also lodged a complaint with Australia Post.
