Cairns Beach Resort - the closest beachfront accommodation to Cairns

Only a 15 minute drive from the airport. A very warm welcome and our room/ apartment surpassed our expectations. We cooked in the kitchen on our first night with supplies we got from the shop 2 minutes walk away next to the bottle store.The pool and gardens are clean very relaxed and quiet and beautiful.Lovely bar and food across the road on the beach and a pizza place 2 minutes away, you can accept the challenge from the owner if you can drink a bottle of lager in less than 4 seconds . Italian restaurant 5 minutes walk away is expensive but quality food.Regular bus service into Cairns at $3 is 20 mins away but it was nice to get back to Holloways beach and relax in the evening.All tours can be booked by reception.I will recommend this resort to my friends and family if they ever venture this way.Fantastic thanks for a lovely stay.

Great place that was really cheap for sharing rooms with friends on a trip. The man at the reception is extremely nice and friendly. He guided us to all the places around town and to the city and gave us a bus schedule and map and highlighted and explained how to get everywhere. Always asked if we had a nice trip or if we needed anything! The rooms we had were clean and very well equipped especially the kitchen! The only thing is that the beach its advertised to be 3 mins away from is not swimable and really dirty so don't expect to go in the water!

Lovely resort for the price, but the kitchen was not stocked well. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful but closed every day at noon. You need to plan your visit well to get what you need. There were fresh muscle type creatures the locals called Museli" on the beach that you can gather and cook everyday if you want. We did ours with garlic and olive oil and ate them over noodles. Yummy"

Wonderful service. Wayne was extremely helpful, he went above and beyond for us to make our time in Cairns memorable.Great location, close to town and right on the beach.

I stayed at the Cairns Beach Resort for 4 days on a working tripThe apartment was fabulous, clean, attractive and airyThe wifi internet access was awful, for 3 of the 4 days I was unable to conduct any online meetings, receive or send emails using laptop.Definitely not the ideal place to book for work stays.

Good location but whole experience was poor. Requested an extra bed twice and never got it. Room was smelly, dirty and run down. Fridge was leaning against the wall that bad you couldn't open the freezer. Towels had dirty marks on them, walls were marked up pretty bad. Main bed was a bit rough as well and wasn't a great sleep not helped by noise outside.

Friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms are simple but very spacious and have all your basic amenities. The kitchen does not have an oven just a stove top. There are BBQs available for use. The pool was very clean and well kept. The beach is across the street and is a lovely sandy beach. There are a few good local restaurants walking distance and a convenience store and bottle shop. The bus stop is across the street and was an easy ride into Cairns. Lovely quiet peaceful resort.

We changed our accomadation at the last minute and super glad we did.Wayne was amazing, went above and beyond, helped with all our additional trips we wanted to do, Wayne guided us with the best way and we have enjoyed every minute in Cairns and the accommodation was comfortable, clean and just a friendly laid back atmosphere.Met many people up for a chat, swim in the pool and the beach front and sunrise from the balcony every morning was spectacular.Highly recommend and we will be back, the location has been perfect for all activities.
