Metta is a genius. She has coloured my hair for six years and I can't imagine going to anyone else for the same quality of hair colour and style, the same warm service, and for how happy my hair is for months after I see her. My hair is black and normally resists any styling or treatment, but she's managed to dye me some fantastic fashion colours that stay vibrant for months - and my hair always feels healthier and stronger after seeing her. Metta is brilliant with style and colour, if you'd like to try something completely new then she is definitely the artist to go to!

Lolita has been my hair stylist for over 2 years and I would never go anywhere else. Fantastic styling and wonderful service at every appointment. I highly recommend Lolita.

Very friendly staff. Metta was lovely and listened to what I wanted, the cut and colour were great. I just did not expect the cost to be as high as it was for roots and a cut ($450+, for context I’ve only paid a max of $250 for an all over colour and cut) so my advice would be to call and ask about pricing before booking.

Many aspects of the service and experience here are great and Metta is a lovely person. Saatu is a welcoming and relaxing salon. However, on the two visits I've had I have come away with one side of my hair longer than the other at the front. I was happy to try again after the first time but was disappointed to have it happen again. Not good enough for a $135 cut and blowdry.

Had a session with Metta who is as amazing as all the other reviews say! She was welcoming from the start and spent time to understand what cut I'd like (e.g. desired length, usual morning routine, hair thickness - my hair is very thick!). But she also gave me suggestions based on what she thought could work with my hair. Was nice to hear her thoughts!Great shampoo and scalp massage. And one of the most meticulous hair stylists I've ever seen! She was patient and constantly checked if I was happy with the cut. Would definitely go back and would recommend to others!Edit: May 2023 - Have been here two more times and still loving it!

For more than 5 years in Canberra, Saatu Hair Design is the only place I'll go for!Metta is such an authentic person. She is great in her job, she is talented and also careful. She will make you feel at home at she'll give you the best advices, not only for your hair, but also for your other concerns. Ans she gives the best head massage!I thought I knew what design what I wanted but it turned out not suited for me. After some days, I asked her for reassessment, she agreed without any hesitations and it turned out her personal touch and design is so much better!I will definitely be a regular for the rest of time! And highly recommend for everyone!

I have never left a hair salon so happy with the outcome, Metta is absolutely amazing and is a hairdresser who really cares and listens to what you want, she also pays great attention to detail and overall is just a lovely person and a fantastic hairdresser. Wanted to share the great experience I had having a keratin treatment with Lolita yesterday. Not only that- she gave me an amazing hair cut. Highly recommend. All the curly girls- book in with Lolita!!!!
