We just happened to pick the wrong time to visit. The lighthouse was getting a fresh coat of paint.

The day we went was extremely windy, and the dirt roads to get there were absolutely shockingly corrugated. Been there, seen it, probably won't go back.

Historic lighthouse that isn't real big and back in the early stages of Australia colony men actually lived in it to keep the light going....not that impressive as far as lighthouses go but interesting to imagine how the lighthouse keepers never lost their minds because it's so small isolated.Good photo ops and big south swells crash in here ..road is suitable for 2wd vehicles and pH reception is available all along this part of coast ..no beach access here.

An absolute must-see on the Yorke Peninsula. Fabulous views and easy access to Talcum Powder Beach. Very easy to park up, crack open a beer and just soak up the views.

Well worth a visit if your in the area,parking b4 the turnoff for caravans,lovely beach,but not easy to access, we saw 4 seals on the rocks with our binoculars today

Corny Point lighthouse
Important historical lighthouse on the edge of the Yorke Peninsula. Beautiful location with fabulous views. Interesting historical information boards about the lighthouse. Moving memorial stone with seat for reflection for those whose loved ones have had their ashes scattered here. Closest toilets 3 min away at North end of Berry Bay.

Well worth the drive out there. 4kms of gravel road from Corny Point. Great views of the ocean. Just amazing.

We drove quite a distance to get here and it was definitely worth travelling some unpaved roads, arriving just before sunset. It was sad to see the memorial of deaths in the area. Beautiful views all around. Loved the orange coloured rocks near the water. Cool to see the light flashing inside the lighthouse. It was first list on March 1st 1882.
