1 of my favourite spots. Coffee scroll is delicious, vanilla slice is a top contender in greatest slice and if lucky the lamb and gravy pie is juicy and tender.

Visited here today to test this best vanilla slice in Victoria idea. Bakery was busy given it was lunch time, but seriously the cakes and vanilla slice whilst being a limited selection looked more like bakery seconds from through the week.There was nothing that actually looked fresh or edible.This is one place I will avoid in future

I had the spinach and ricotta Danish as that was the only thing vegetarian available it was nice. We did come later in day, about 3pm, but I wouldn't of expected there to be nearly nothing left as they didn't close until 5pm. Salad bar was closed and no hot options for vegetarians and I don't think any vegan options at all.

What a terrible place.I ordered a short black and a toasted sandwich.I ask twice if I could have the coffee with the sandwich.They were not able to manage this.My coffee was cold.A miserable toasted cheese and onion sandwich 1 slice of cheese only.Worst sandwich I have bought in Australia.However I am lucky I don’t have to visit again.

Stopped on a long road trip as heaps of cars. Always a good indication of a good feed. Proved correct. I had coffee, chicken and salad roll & vanilla slice.Top notch country service and food was definitely worth the stop.Take your food and sit by the river.Lovely area with good seating etc

Called into this place to try their award winning vanilla slice. Apparently voted #1 in Australia 2022. It wasn't bad. About as good as you'd get pretty much anywhere else.Well, at least we can say we've seen Bridgewater.

The Bridgewater Bakery won the award for the best Vanilla Slice in Victoria. Ok I have just travelled 250 kilometres to test the truth of the claim. The result, yes they are something to enjoy. Nice fluffy custard, waver bottom nice and crunch but for the sweet tooth individuals the icing is a killer. If your going through you would definitely want to get one. Sadly the coffee needs improvement.

Great little bakery in Bridgewater on Loddon, try the curry pie. Their donuts and vanilla slice are well worth having as well. Coffee is good! But beware, public holidays....it is so good the queue to order is out the door! Great kids working behind the counter, very courteous, keep it up!
