Fish and chips very very good perfect chicken salt clean cooking oil had a huge piece of king George whiting the batter was crunchie I would Recomend turning into ardrossan make the effort it’s worth while a very clean shop as well

I've been to the capital of Fish n Chips being Yorkshire, England recently in June this year. Everywhere I went I had to judge the quality. Leeds market came up the best in the world with the Ardrossan Fish n Chip shop ( and schnitzels) coming up a very close second. But in Oz they were the best I've had anywhere. Awesome thanks.

Lovely friendly staff.Delicious fresh King George Whiting, which hubby devoured. My Calamari rings and prawns were scrumptious. Chips lovely and crisp. So pleased your lovely shop is so close to the Caravan Park.Thank you for our delicious meal.Fay and Alan

I got the chicken schnitzel and it was really delicious. I also loved the mushroom gravy. I can’t wait until I visit here again. The food was truly delicious and customer service was amazing too.

Very disappointed with our lunch of fish n chips and a couple of other fried things, it was all soooo greasy, batter was terrible! Couldn’t even eat it. Also a simple request to wrap our meal was denied as he said “I’ve already used packaging” We were here two years ago and it was awful, was hopeful it had improved… but it hasn’t!

We go there a lot and usually the food Is average nothing special unless ayu is on. Today when we came in we got our food as usual once food was served we left the shop to go eat upon opening our food our burgers had nothing we ordered on them. I am a Muslim man and specifically ordered a burger with nothing but chicken and mayo. My burger came with bacon egg and onion which I didn’t order. Chips were good as usual but the chicken and other items was disappointing as the food was greasy

Was there few months back and the food was great. Last week went for second visit and the customer service was so bad, I had to turn back and not eat there anymore. Long story in short, The young boy who served us was not giving me the order I want to place and he was trying to sell me what he wanted to. In plain I wanted 1 large chips and 2 flakes. But he was trying to sell me 2 medium and 2 flakes.Was not happy at all and I left with placing the order. Had to drive Port Wakefield to have our lunch.

Started out awesome in the town but have started dropping the ball a bit.Last order for instance was $47 for two chicken Parma and kids tenders.My daughter could hardly bite through her chicken pieces due to over cooking and could only eat the chips while both parmas were torched with a flame of some sort to melt the cheese leaving burnt lines all over the cheese with a strong butane type of flavour. Very unpalatable..That's about the 3rd or 4th time this year we have had a meal that was very poor.Fish can also be very very oily with thick batter and holds oil in and around the fish.
