I felt compelled to share my experience with Morrisons and Sons to help others who may be considering to use this business as the positive google reviews prompted me to engage them. I engaged Morrisons and Sons for a roof restoration and the experience I had was very poor. The work I engaged them for (and paid for) has not been finished and despite promises to complete the work from both Frank and his brother, the job is still unfinished 4 months later. I have very little confidence in the quality of the work they have completed given how unprofessional they have been since receiving payment. They have been unresponsive to communication and have not shared information on how their warranty program works. I would encourage any prospective user of their services to get all information upfront - including how they manage disputes as it is likely you will need to raise a dispute through a third party to resolve any issues you may have. A very distressing experience, would not recommend.

Fast, Efficient and professional. This is the second time I have used Morrison’s . The first time they were recommended by a friend and a tradesman who was not able to quote for the work at that time, so they came doubly recommended. They replaced my tile roof a few years ago and were great then. So when the smaller tin roof started to leak I asked Morrisonsfor a quote and they have just finished the work. It looks great and it rained last night and guess what? No more leaks! Thanks a lot frank and team

We used Morrisons & Sons Roof Repairs in 2021. They did not complete the job of re-pointing the entrance ways roofs. The guttering also on the entrance ways is towards the building, so all the water drains down the side of the building in to the foundations of the building.We also had an independent Plumber that went up on the roof and their comments were very marginal about the quality of guttering that had been put on.Do not use them. They are non-responsive by phone, email and by formal complaint letter.We are now in VCAT proceedings with them.

Professional service good rates and know what there doing and talking about. Had three quotes Frank was mid range and I made a good decision. Got my loft insulated and my roof fully restored. I’ve now got ten years warranty and nothing to worry about. If you want work done around the house painlessly and need honest advice this is your company of choice. I highly recommend Morrisons roofing

Very unhappy to deal with their poor quality and bad working attitude. I regret choosing them to fix and replace my leaking roof and valleys. If Google could leave negative star, I will leave negative 5 stars!What they sounds 30 year experience, 10 year guarantee and their promises on their invoice are completely a joke. After they got my money, they did not respond to my issues anymore. The work is very rough, and tile cut looks ugly, and the valley starts leaking after 4 months!In Feb, I asked them to replace valleys on my roof. Once the job was done, I found the rubbish everywhere on the roof then have to call them back to clean the messy.Later, I found there are still some leaking, and a lot of rubbish like broken tiles, concrete and valley cuts are just thrown everywhere on my ceiling! I sent them emails, text messages and called them, completely no response!In Jun, I found the rain water starts leaking into my living room from where is right under the valley they replaced. I called them a call, their boss Frank refused it is their problem and sending their guys to check. Without seeing it, he insisted my roof was damage by storms. I climbed up my ceiling and found the water escapes from the valley, then sent them emails with the photos, called their reception and texted them, completely no respond.I don't mind their works have issues but as long as they come to fix the problems, now I am very angry their customer service and working attitude.Cleaning the rubbish, ensuring whole roof water tight and 10 year guarantee are their promises on their invoice, which is just a joke. Now they just ran away after they got my money. Mold is growing and my ceiling is getting damages and I have to found someone to fix the issue.Very unhappy with them and looking to solving this mess via VCAT!!! Suggest everyone to read all of the 1 star comments before engaging them.

I don’t normally post reviews but wanted to warn people of the terrible experience my husband and I had with Morrison’s & Sons. One of the reasons we hired this company was because of the number of positive reviews on Google but we now suspect many of them are not legitimate, which has led me to post details of our experience.In short, the owner of Morrison’s & Sons, Frank, cannot be trusted and does not stand by his 10 year workmanship guarantee. We hired Frank to repoint the roof of our home. He quoted $8,000 for a 3-day job which ended up taking less than 1 day and also demanded payment as soon as the work was complete. Even worse, some of the tiles he replaced fell off from the second storey of our house a couple of months later. We were extremely lucky none of our three children were playing outside at the time as they could have been seriously injured (or worse).Frank refuses to answer any calls, voicemails, emails or messages. If you call the Morrison’s & Sons main office in Malvern, their receptionist will assure you that your message has been passed on to Frank but you will never hear from him or anyone else on the team.Unfortunately, as we subsequently discovered, the roofing industry is not regulated so any lawyer you speak to will tell you that it will most likely not be worth your time and effort to pursue any action to have the work rectified or you costs reimbursed.If you value good quality workmanship for a fair price, a company that stands by its 10 year guarantee, a company who you can trust and, above all, the safety of your family … please don’t use Morrison’s and Sons.

I think these guys have gone out of business and I'm not surprised based on my experience. Like so many other reviewers below, we were quoted ~$2.5k for a 2-3 job to replace the flashing across the whole front half of our house. The job took one roof plumber about an hour and they demanded full payment on the day. They denied ever saying that it would take 2-3 days even though we had their quote in writing. After refusing to pay the invoice and a few heated discussions over the phone, they eventually took the invoice down to about ~$1.5k, which I reluctantly paid. Dodgy business!

I wanted to share my unfortunate experience with Morrison & Sons Roof Repairs. Frank came to our house in December 2020 to take a look at our roof. At the back of our house, some tiles had fallen off from the second storey and I told Frank that I was concerned with further tiles falling and potentially injuring someone. Frank recommended that the whole roof be repointed and rebedded and advised it would be a 2 – 3 day job and would cost close to $8,000. He told me he would be able to replace the tiles at the back that had fallen off and mentioned that all work would be guaranteed for 10 years (their website says the same thing).To his credit his team was able to come out a week or so later. However, I was surprised when the work was finished in under a day even though I had been told 2 - 3 days would be required. This made me question whether the fee quote was reasonable but, at that point, I was relieved that I wouldn’t have to worry about tiles falling off … or so I thought!I might also add that Frank demanded payment later that day and didn’t stop hounding me until I paid the following day.A couple of months later, one of the tiles Frank’s team had replaced fell off, which didn’t really provide me with any comfort that the repair work had been performed to a satisfactory standard, and didn’t address the safety risk that I had specifically highlighted to Frank.This led me to examine the work performed more closely and, upon doing so, I noticed that the tiles at the back were laid unevenly and did not seem to be in alignment. I took photos and sent them through to Frank. I've attached the photos of the work that was done. You can see from the first photo how poorly the roof tiles were laid - they are completely out of alignment. The second photo shows the space where the tile fell of following Frank's work - it should be pretty obvious how dangerous this could have been.Since then, I have called Frank’s mobile and his office several times, sent numerous messages and emails, and left voicemails. Frank has not gotten back to me and I have given up. He obviously has very little, if any, regard for the safety and wellbeing of his customers.So much for the statement on the Morrison & Sons website which states “We offer a ten year unconditional guarantee with every job completed” – I can’t even get an issue resolved within 3 months! Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend that you do not use Morrison & Sons. I would also add that I subsequently spoke to another roofing business who indicated that Morrison & Sons were notorious in the industry for overcharging and under-delivering.

Frank and his team were very hard workers and produced a great job. We required some substantial repairs to our roof that hadn’t been looked at for over 20 years - and we were impressed with the final product. From the initial contact, to quotation process and right through to completion we were advised every step of the way on what was happening. Not being roof experts we found this put our minds at ease. Overall a job well done and would recommend highly.

Frank is an honest man who cares about his clients, his team and the company's reputation. I have a roof restoration done early April 2021, his team did a fantastic job at cleaning, repointing, replacing tiles and painting. Thanks to Scott the head of the project team for your nicely explanation and walk through the process stage by stage. The team were efficient, the quality was excellent and they left the site clean and tidy. Also Frank's job give a 10 years warranty instead of 7 from other companies. Very happy with the work done and the roof looks amazing. Highly recommend Frank and his team for the roof restoration.
