I was a second year apprentice when I was sent here. My work had sent a coworker here and it really lifted his game. They got him to do a 3G (VU) and 4G Shielded Flux Core plate test for work qualifications and he really benefited from the time and tutelage here.So, they done the same with me: now from what I saw, generally welders/boilermakers would come in, bang out a test piece and go on their way, because they have been at this for quite some time, they come in, do a test piece and off they go.My skill level and experience were no where near that.BUT we organised for me to spend 3 days at ENYRB and I have to say, it was time and money well spent. I worked directly with Kerry, Shane would come in to see how I was going, they answered every single pain in the butt question I had, showed me what to do, tidied up my technique and taught me some finer points of the dark arts.At the end of the day, I passed and gained a coded qualification but more importantly they gifted me with knowledge that has vastly improved me as an apprentice.They were selfless with their time and honestly having people who are generous with their knowledge and that passionate about teaching is priceless.
