Terramungamine Reserve
Terramungamine is one of the best spots on the Macquarie to fish for Murray Cod and Golden Perch ( aka Yellow Belly or Callop). It is about 15 minutes north of Dubbo. The reserve can be found about 6 kilometers on Burraway Road - Turn off A39 Newell Highway and follow the sign posts. The reserve has a one night camping limit and is popular with Grey nomads and other caravaners and campers. Please note the facilities are limited to toilets only. The fishing season is not due to reopen until 1st December you must have a NSW fishing license as the area is patrolled by Fisheries Inspectors.

There is not much to see here. The information is not presented well. But once you find the walk it is good to see the stone carvings.

Perfect place for an overnight stay. One night only allowed. Dogs allowed on leash. Follow main dirt road down to river side camping. Or camp at top with a bit more space (but more road noise - but pretty quiet still).Toilets clean. Bins available. Picnic tables down by river.Short walk to grooves site is worthwhile.

It was a good reserve tidy cleaner did the toilets and picked up rubbish. It rained and the grounds were slippery, but plenty of good areas to park

Lovely quiet spot by an (inaccessable) river. Free camping, dog friendly and lots of space.
