We loved Hein’s bakery before the new owners. Bread is just horrible now-I can’t believe they are actually charging money for it! Choux pastry on eclairs now soft and soggy. It’s such a shame for our neighbourhood as it used to have very loyal customers who loved the AUTHENTIC sourdough. Won’t be coming back or recommending.

loved the ambience. Coffee good and the pepper steak pie is the best ive had so far. So i good i took four of them home too.Sourghdough bread was good too.

Terrible customer service, rude owner. Partner asked for a mushroom quiche which was frozen on display and was served it frozen without it being heated up and even refused! Absolutely not acceptable and terrible attitude. Deserves 0 stars.

They have added some best desserts under the new ownership. Fruit Tart, Red Velvet, Pecan Caramel. The service and the venue has lifted in the past 2 weeks. Not sure what previous review was about, unless he got it mixed to a different venue. We go here every day!

We have always loved Heins since they opened in 2020. Recently it seems that the business has changed hands, along with a sharp drop in quality & authenticity. We’d love to see the old Heins back

I used to buy a vanilla slice from here. Never again. Just purchased one today which was stale and tasted of onions. When you walk in all you can smell are onions. The box they put it in smelt of onions. Such a shame but new ownership has destroyed this bakery.

Had a sausage roll from this bakery today. It was absolutely TERRIBLE.. The meat was crusty, over cooked with little pieces of sandy like crusty meat. It has put me off sausage rolls.. I would NOT recommend this bakery to anyone. I would even suggest a food inspector inspect their food.

Lovely neighbourhood place. Many of the Breads are good and Tasty, definitely better than Starbucks and Coffee bean outlets food for example. The Lady over the Cashier has the Motherly or Aunt feel when she talks to you, its the vibe she gives that makes you feel like at home. You know that kind of feeling when you are far from home.

When you step into the bakery, the aroma of the freshly baked goods makes your mouth watery! Have tried the breads, cream puffs and coffee. Everything is on point! A returning customer!

Appears to be new owners and they’ve raised the prices on all cakes this week, even though they are not as well made as when Mr Hein’s owned the bakery. Disappointing. Probably won’t go here as much as I did (it’s within walking distance for me).
