YOU MUST READ THISI was recommended to use Downey Street Rustproofing and had full faith in there workmanship to rust proof my car. This was until I did. I had the devastation of picking my car up covered in rust proofing. The next heart breaking part, I was told it’s not a problem because they had attempted to clean the entire car with white spirits. White spirits dehydrate any plastic when applied straight on. I was originally quoted higher for my truck as it is a larger and more difficult vehicle to rust proof, when I had returned to collect my vehicle they had painted the polished alloy wheels and told me they were too difficult remove and that this was what they generally do with the large vehicles, paint the wheels?The parts that where covered in paint and rust proofing where the wheels/ paint work/side steps/mud guards. My leather seat and steering wheel had sticky residue all over.When I questioned the guys behind the job I was told that I should have been more specific with what parts I didn’t want painted, and that there shouldn’t be any rust proofing on my seats and steering wheel.I never asked once for money back or a discount nor was I offered either. However, I did explain that I was very disappointed with the work that was done. My new f350 I wanted for years, covered in brown rust proofing,I have been quoted $1500 by a third party to rectify the problem caused Downey Street Rustproofing. I am not seeking compensationI just hope to prevent my mistake and experience with this company from others.Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Great for pre-rwc engine and undercarriage wash. Was a little fun to find but lovely staff and did a great job

I got my car and camper trailer fixed up by Downey St and could not speak any higher of the service from Robert and the team. From talking with the admin team through to the work itself everything was done with 110% effort, I couldn’t arrive until an hour after close time with my working schedule and Rob was more than happy to stay back so I could get the works done. The work itself looks unreal, both vehicles look like an off the shelf brand new vehicle. They even fixed up some rust I had on a part I didn’t even know about.I will be highly recommending anyone requiring underbody protection work to go to Downey St.

These guys did my new Navara STX and very thorough. Yes it has overruns underneath as it is piled on to which in my opinion will protect it for the beach work it will do. Top rate After sales service when a couple of minor things needed a tidy up. If you want proper protection for your vehicle see these guys.

Can’t recommend these guys enough, my vehicle underbody has never been cleaner. There was sand everywhere despite my best efforts at home to clean it out. One and a half hours at Downey St and it was goodbye sand.Thanks all involved, I will definitely be back.

dropped my ute off their hoist and have written it off 2 weeks before my wife and I were due to travel Australia. Now their insurance has screwed us and we are out of pocket to the tune of 9 grand. No apology nothing. That aside the rust proofing job is second rate with over spray all over the exhaust, all the way up the doors to the windows, all over my canopy doors and even on the head lights. Avoid this business at all costsI wouldn't take my new vehicle there even if you paid me

After taking the car to Fraser I dropped it into Downey street! Car came back like it had never been on the beach! Sparkling clean and not a drop of sand left!

Been using Downey street rustproofing off and on for a while now, mainly for the after beach wash service they offer, but recently decided to go with a complete rust proof to ensure the longevity of my 4x4 esp with planning many off road adventures .The whole process was pretty flawless and all staff were knowledgeable and explained the whole process and what I can expect . I picked up my car and it was clean as they had washed it, and I was informed there would be some possible leakage of the rustproofing they use however they provided me with a small bottle of cleaning agent to easily remove it .Thanks again for your excellent service and I’ll be sure to bring a gift of sand from my next Fraser trip :) :) .

Thanks guys! Second car to be done and you did such a great job on my disco I'm super impressed. The cleanup job after the underbody was superb. Definitely will check back in with you for any checkups and touchups.
